Garry Shandling: Plastic Surgery Victim?

Actor Garry Shandling appeared on 'The Late Show With David Letterman' on October 12 and not long after, Google surged with searches from viewers wondering if he'd recently gone under the knife. While some searched for botched surgery, others were just curious about how much his face had changed. We have to admit, he did look a little bloated and his face didn't really move, but we're leaving up to our faithful readers.

If Shandling did go under the knife, it is certainly not the star's first attempt at keeping the rolling years at bay. He had meddled with plastic surgery a few times even in the recent years.

He appeared on Letterman's late night show and discussed his fear of swine flu and how he stays healthy flying from New York to Los Angeles. Watch:

Shandling was the stars of 'The Larry Sanders Show' and will appear as Senator Stern in the upcoming 'Iron Man 2' film.

The only thing that would make Gary look better would be a head transplant.

Not to be rude or anything but some of you need to read a little more carefully about when the pics were taken. He certainly has not lost weight. The pic on the left was taken in October and the pic on the right was taken in June.

Thats October and June of 2009!!!!

Not often does a before picture look better than the present picture but this one sure does. Sure looks like he packed on the lbs or maybe he has a drinking problem which would also cause the red face.

He just gained weight is all! Though Jennifer Aniston definatly had surgery, or injections in her deeply dented face. She looks much younger and cuter in "Marley and Me" In her case, it was a good move.

surgery is the wrong word. he either had a bad reaction to injectable fillers or a bad reaction to medication for some medical condition/disease.

People have reading comprehension issues, I see. The argument is that he looks puffy/bloated/whatever in the recent photo (on the LEFT) because he has had RECENT surgery. If head very recent surgery of COURSE he's going to look better in the before pic - temporarily. See peeps, there is usually swelling after surgery. There is some trauma to the area. So (I'll go slooowww) Did he have very recent work done and looks puffy as a result because the swelling has not gone away yet?

How dare anybody desecrate this genius! Besides the slight bloat & mottledness to which u refer is clearly a result of his enjoying life the good old fashioned way - you know, booze, salty food, carbs, jet-lag and poor sleeping habits. To me, Shandling is ever-sexy because he has a fabulous mind. Even if the man got totally fat,couch-bound, wretched, blurby, bitter, even dementia, I'd still love em up big time just because he's him. That's how highly I regard Garry Shandling.

Even when he looks slightly worse for wear, he still looks like himself and therefore looks great. I love him! As far as I'm concerned, his spark of genius overrides any other superficial attribute for better or worse! God I can't stand classicly good looking men - so boring, ho-hum conformist and predictable. They don't stand a chance w/ me! I'm NOT interested! I prefer the uniqueness of a true character - such individuality is totally sublime!
