In a hysterically candid and beer-fueled interview with GQ magazine, 'Mad Men' vixen January Jones opens up about her odd path into Hollywood before she was on the hit AMC show. In addition to her potty-mouthed candor, Jones also steams up the pages of November's GQ with a sultry photo shoot and dishes about how her ex-boyfriend Ashton Kutcher doubted her, in colorful language. On Relating to Betty Draper: "I don't have a lot in common with Betty," she says. "but I'm very protective of her. I just feel like she's trying really hard to make her life good, and make her marriage work, and it just seems hypocritical that when she slips up, people get mad. Because Don does it all the fucking time.""Dear men of America, I like beer, I like football. I'm probably the most interesting girl you'll ever meet."

On Being Typecast as a Housewife: "I'd never really played a mom or a wife before ... and all of a sudden I'm getting all these lonely mom and wife offers. I don't want to get stuck."

On Her First Hollywood Relationship ... With Ashton Kutcher: "The guy I was dating when I first got to L.A. was not supportive of my acting. He was like, I don't think you're going to be good at this. So -- f--- you! He only has nice things to say now -- if anything, I should thank him. Because the minute you tell me I can't do something, that's when I'm most motivated."

On Her High School Days: "I hung out with dudes in high school ... We were the hippies -- into the Dead, Zeppelin, Phish. I was a lifeguard at the water park, and I remember the day Jerry died. Over the loudspeaker, it said: 'Jerry Garcia has died. Everybody meet in the parking lot.' I probably shouldn't say that -- we were saving lives! But that was definitely a sit-in-the-chair-with-sunglasses afternoon."

On Why She Got Into Modeling Early On: "Showing all those bitches in high school who said I wasn't pretty enough."

On Her First Acting Auditions: "I felt really vulnerable ... Like, why do these people deserve to see me have these emotions for five minutes and then tell me that I'm bad at it?"

On Being Cut Off From Booze on an Airplane: "I remember being on a British Airways flight with a friend where we got cut off big-time. You know in first class, where they have tables in between the seats? Well, we were chewing tobacco and playing quarters. And they were like, You are cut off! Go to bed!"

On Her GQ Interview: "What am I even saying? These are just ridiculous sound bites that you're going to put in the caption next to me being naked."

To Notre9 - I agree that Jan is gorgeous, but she is on the thin side...just so you know, not all size 8's and 10's are chubby. Curvy and chubby are two different things. I know a lot of chubby people think they are curvy - but no. and yes, most men do prefer women with curves!

I could not believe this was the same person that played the grown up Missy on the Love Comes Softly series show "Enduring Promise"! I guess that like Katherine Heigl (who Played Marty in the first and second movie and Missies step-mom in Enduring Promise) they dont like to remember these movies. They werent filled with sex or drinking or blood and guts. But they helped get them both to the place they are today.
