Judge Rules Jon Must Return $180K

Today's court date between Jon and Kate Gosselin didn't go in Jon's favor, as the embattled reality TV star and father of eight is being forced to return $180,000 he removed from the couple's bank accounts recently. TMZ is reporting that Jon was ordered to return the funds because they were in violation of an arbitrator's order.

He was reported to have removed $230,000 initially from their account, despite a ban from such instances due to the couple's ongoing nasty divorce.

Kate spoke out following the ruling, saying: "As difficult as this has been for me, I am pleased that the Court has ruled fairly on behalf of myself and my children. Now that this matter has been ruled on, I look forward to returning to private arbitration, as we have agreed to do, to resolve any remaining issues."

Kate's lawyer, Mark Momjian, addressed the rest of the money by saying "the remaining sum of $55,000, which Ms. Gosselin used for household bills and expenses relating to the children, will be subject to further determination by the arbitrator at a later date."

Gosselin must replace the missing money by their next court hearing, which is scheduled for Oct. 26. If the money is not replaced, he will have to appear before a judge for a contempt proceeding, TMZ reports.

These people need to stop fighting their battles in public..it is ridiculous. They have obviously forgotten about their children, which should be the most important thing in their lives, but they both are so obsesed with fame and money that they are taking a back seat. I will NOT buy another magazine that features either oif them on their cover or has an article about them in their magazine. I am sick of the whole mess and tired of reading about it. When the buying public stops buying the magazines where they are featured, maybe this whole mess with the medai will stop. If not, you can count all of my monthly magazine buy's as "no more". These 2 people need to grow up! I am absolutely SICK of hearing about them and wish to God that the Media would get over them, becasue they are ruining my reading material. ENOUGH is ENOUGH!

I think that Jon is a really sorry excuse for a father right now. I don't know him personally, but I really do not blame kate for divorcing him they do not seem to be a match. He's just a big kid and she's a little more focused on the future for thier kids. Besides, Jon has this girlfriend now so that means he will not be focused on his kids, if you know what I mean.

He is the one that went on TV and called her a liar! He denied holding that money out and said she was the one that took it and was hiding it from him. THAT MONEY BELONGS TO THE SUPPORT OF THOSE CHILDREN !!! NOT HIS FRICKEN GIRLFRIEND! That right there shows where his heart is. She was trying to pay the household bills, i.e., the lights the kids see with, the food the kids eat, etc. Without him around, she has to provide 27 meals a day, including her, plus snacks. That's about 837 meals and 558 snacks! I bet the light bill for that house is almost 10,000 per month with the production lighting running up the meter. Just because the cameras are gone doesn't mean the expenses from shooting don't have to be paid. School started, that means all those clothes, shoes, and backpacks need paying for. AND HE WANTS TO KNOW WHERE THE MONEY WENT??? She is good with finances and will be able to show the court how it was spent on the kids. He took that money while he was on TV saying how much he despises her, trhen has the nerve to say she is putting their business out to the press! He talks about how he has been friendly with the paparrazzi, while they stalk his kids and chase school buses! At least Kate has the balls to point a naval ship canon at them! I hope the judge sends him his walking papers and two little steel balls in the same envelope with his legal bills!

Wish the media would report jnews worthy news , like how health care is going to improve our world & the lives of people or why we need all these troops in afganastan. simply put just report news that matters ,cause news of these two people is not news at all. besides we have all or most have had family members go thru these kind of issue's, so this is not really newsworthy. let us hope these family fades out of the news,so real news can be reported .

Once upon a time (10 seconds) I felt sorry for Jon when Kate spoke to him in such a demeaning way. I didn't like how she walked on him. Well, NO MORE sympathy for this passive aggressive,lying, cheating, whining, stealing, self-absorbed little man. If he's been walked on, he's attracted it with his dispicable behavior. People only walk on you when you lie on the floor. This guy lives on the floor and it seems that is appropriate.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing as I read the article. He always claims he has proof, but I've yet to see him show any. I used to feel sorry for him when Kate talked down to him, but now I definitely see why. He's a childish idiot!

Why was the pig ordered to return the money that he has a paper trail to prove he didn't withdraw? The best thing he could possibly do for Kate and their eight is to fall through his butt and hang himself. "Evil" TLC I'm sure has a huge life insurance policy in force for an event such as this when he does! I realize my comment isn't classy.. too bad!

I don't know why everyone is blaming jon. kate plays the victim well i guess, since your all falling for her crap. She is a self indulged control freak!!!!! so what jon isn't allowed to have any nice thingsd, but kate can get her $1000 hair cuts and wear designer clothes but nobody judges her, maybe everyone should look at the big picture.

It is about time that Jon starts paying emotionally and finically for his part in this fiasco!
He has been getting away with way too much crap talk and walk. His so called interview on Entertainment Tonight was a colossal junk fest. He was not interviewed, but allowed to run off at the mouth at will! Nancy Grace should have a one on one with him on her show. She would show him up for what he really is and that is a self absorbed, immature child. No wonder he has a connection with a 22 year old. Mentally and emotionally she is probably older than he is.

Oh no-how will he pay for his vacations with his mistress-her sports car-how will he hang with Joe Franicis of the "Girls gone Wild" trash videos?I hope this doesn't put his plans for buying a condo on hold-or god forbod make him have to get a JOB.This money is the childrens money. Kate needs to let the bodyguard,the nannies,the facials,the housekeeper,the tanning visits go too. They both need to grow up or they are going to have some screwed up kids on their hands. Maybe if they had to go back to the way they lived and looked prior to the show they would realize life is to short to be overcome with vanity and those children are who made them stars. So grow up take rsponsibility for your children and raise them with love not as your meal ticket
