Tracy Morgan Rips on 'SNL' Castmates

Come on Tracy. Tell us how you really feel. '30 Rock' star Tracy Morgan lambastes his old 'Saturday Night Live' castmates in his new book according to the New York Daily News.

"None of the cast I came up with saw this future for me," reveals Morgan in 'I Am the New Black,' out next Tuesday. "All I have to say about that is, where's Chris Kattan now? Where's Cheri Oteri now? That b---- can't even get arrested."

But it wasn't just work at 'SNL.' Morgan goes into erotic detail describing an unofficial road trip to an illegal strip club called the Loft.

"I invited everyone to go down there one week," explains Morgan. "And Tina Fey, Rachel Dratch and a few others came along. I didn't tell any of them what they were in for, so it was all cool when we got there. ... Then these two girls came out onstage and started [engaging in sex acts], and that just shut it down. All the grips and crew guys from 'SNL' were standing around and loving it, but my castmates took one look at that, turned right around and rushed out of there."

Morgan felt misunderstood by the 'SNL' cast. "I had my finger on the pulse of urban comedy, but when I brought my act to 'SNL,' those mother--------- just felt bad for me," confides Morgan. But he does have praise for his '30 Rock' co-star, Tina Fey. "Tina wasn't scared to come into my world and find the funny up in there. She's that kind of cool," he writes.

Morgan also delves into the deeply personal. Coping with diabetes, being estranged from his mother and losing his father to AIDS.

Tracy Morgan, 40, was discovered performing stand-up comedy at Harlem's Apollo Theater and was a member of 'SNL' from 1996 to 2003. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for his work on '30 Rock' in 2009.

A little over-inflated, aren't we? He's so busy patting himself on the back that he can't see he's just knocking himself down. There was absolutely *nothing* funny about him, IMO. He's walking around with this self-entitled chip on his shoulder. Did he ever stop to think that maybe the likes of Cheri Oteri and others aren't around a lot because just *maybe* they wanted to take a break? And how many movies has Chris Kattan made compared to Tracy Morgan? If Tina Fey is smart, she'll drop his no-talented arse from the show and boost her ratings. Of course he won't slam her....she's his cash cow. Also...about the whole strip club girl-on-girl scenario...I would have turned around and walked, too...after giving him a piece of my mind. How was that supposed to be construed as even remotely funny? Did he ever stop to consider that it might actually offend some people, that not everyone likes that sort of thing? What a jerk....I hope Hollywood wakes up and lets him get back to his "urban" ghetto, where his personality fits in perfectly.....@@

Other than latest "political season", SNL hasn't ben really funny since Belushi, Ackroyd, Murray, Curtin, Radner and co. Back in those days, it was hysterical. Now, not at all.

What's Morgan's claim to fame, anyway? Wow, imagine having him for a "friend" or a co-worker!
He's lucky he even got a paying job in television, and should be thankful for the opportunities he's been given. He's an overpaid, over-hyped, and over-exposed 4th rate comic, if you ask me. Not the slightest bit funny, I might add. Get over yourself!!!!!

To all the blacks on here that said we are racist..i don't think thats a fair comment,as anyone can see if this were a vote it would be 60 to 8 against morgan being funny.i'm white itailian jewish who has had black friends in the past,i hold no case having to do with skin color on any level..in this case of comedy its either you are or you aren't funny.tracy morgam imop and i have seen him on snl in the past was not funny,period.

i can say also there have been white comdeians who also have not been funny,ie"chevy chase,steve martin etc..have seen many comedians of all races funny and not funny,in this case this man lacks funny,i believe he should get a job with a similar non talent named jimmy fallon...no offense..to anyone.sometimes blacks are hired for tokens..even chis rock was no one on snl but later with the help of writers like wanda sykes became funny//ok?

Tracy Morgan was on SNL? Must have missed that season. He's the weakest link on 30 Rock, least funny person in the cast, too over the top. I guess he'll be bashing Tina in his next book after 30 goes off the air. It's hard to picture him reading a book, much less writing one.
