3 yrs. is a long time to be going steady... I mean be married.
I wonder how many people told her not to get married in the first place? My fav part of celebs getting divorced is this statement: we both still LOVE and respect each other and wish them only the best. I guess YOU aint the best then, are you?
The hubby needs a nose job like no one else in the world.

I guess that SUMs it up since the news reports indicated that Lavigne wants a life on the road which is understandable since she is young and most marriages in their 20's don't last for more than 6 months indicating that screwing around with multiple partners is more stimulating than settling down.

if he is an established recording artist, why would he seek spousal support???? maybe he's a little bitter?? - irreconcilable differences is usually cited when one (or both) stray from the marriage.
and yes, he is a prime candidate for rhinoplasty!!

Irreconcilable Differences is the "Standard" legal term for the court system. It saves everyone from all the unnecessary details of failed marriages.

Why is he seeking spousal support?...lol...your kidding...wait your a woman so I guess it is hard to understand that it is not a one way street in the spousal awards game. Not a fan persoanlly of people gettign spousal support indefinitely but it does make one wonder how women always seem to dislike when men receive spousal support.

To Ted - no, I'm not kidding. He is in a so called rock/pop band - why would he need her money?? If it were the other way around, her asking for spousal support from him, I would be asking the same question. Why would someone with money need to be supported??? don't turn my comment around to make it seem that I'm a man hater, you dummy.

Isn't that special, her first divorce at the age of 20. Now get your friendship braclette back and give it to someone else, but GROW UP BEFORE YOU GET MARRIED THE SECOND, THIRD AND FORTH TIME.

They have been together for 6 years, for those of you that say that can work it out, wouldn't they know better then any of us if they can. From a young 20 something, married with 2 kids, sometimes I wonder why I settled so young, maybe she had those thoughts and when with them. At least there is no children involved. And they have had a pretty long relation given there celebrity status'.

Come on. Marriage is not natural....Most of the people I know are so miserable in their marriages. They just stay together because of the kids, because they don't wanna look like losers, afraid of expensive divorces....not for love. People that stay married were brainwashed by a stupid religion.

What does religion have to do with marriage Mike? If your friends are so miserable why did they get married in the first place? I've been married for 27 years. I got married because I love my wife. It has nothing to do with religion or kids.

My religion has nothing to do with me being married 26 years. I know it may seem strange to you, Mike, but I am in love with my husband. The fact that we are both Christians just adds to it. I am truly happy that I am spending my life by his side. I wish the same for you one day.

Don't these people actually listen to their wedding vows? Marriage isn't a game, it is a very serious commitment. The courts need to start denying these people their divorces.

Divorce shouldn't be harder! Marriage should be harder. People should have to go through a series of classes, including psychological testing, to qualify for marriage. It IS serious business.
