Jon Gosselin Sued by TLC Over Contract

TLC is suing
Jon Gosselin for breaching his contract as the star of
'Jon & Kate Plus 8,' TMZ reports.
The lawsuit, filed Friday in Maryland, the network alleges Gosselin ignored his obligations as an exclusive employee and profited by making unauthorized appearances on other TV programs. Gosselin has been a busy guy, making stops at several network morning shows and a high-profile, multi-night stint on 'Entertainment Tonight.'
Gosselin has starred for two years in 'Jon & Kate Plus 8,' which has been consumed in recent months by marital turmoil as Gosselin and his wife,
Kate Gosselin, feuded, then filed for divorce. The couple are the parents of young twins and sextuplets.
Recently, TLC announced the show would be renamed 'Kate Plus Eight,' with a reduced presence by Jon Gosselin. A TLC spokeswoman, Laurie Goldberg, has said the show's longtime future remains in question.

Maybe Kate has a different employment contract with TLC. Not everyone's contract is the same. They should sue his butt for breach of contract because he also halted production. I noticed on one of the episodes that the blurred his T-shirt. He was probably trying to promote that Ed Hardy stuff. It's about time TLC struck back with all his allegations. The man didn't know how good he had it! Just don't take any money away from Kate. She is truly the one supporting everyone these days. Even HIS new New York lifestyle.

Kate has done her work well with TLC. Jon has had a public disgression and seems tobe apologizing for the fact that it has hit all the tabloids. Kate can do no wrong. Wait a second. She spends very little time with her kids. She is out there making all the public appearances. She can't have it both ways and be the saint. Maybe she has stepped up to the plate but it for the sake of the show. How can TLC sue when they had already renamed the show. Take her off the show. I will not watch if it is her on there all aline. Good God! TLC get back into the house refixes. You are not very good at the family repair>

I quite agree both are at fault, and it the children who get the brunt of it all, they are the ones who are suffering because of all the high intense media, and they fighting are arguing in front of them, just shows, how immature they both are, and they call themselves parents, do they think their children are stupid, that they can't see whats going on, they may be small, but they watch, look, and listen, later on in years, they will be the ones, who are writing the books, about their tell all, life, their family, they dumb mother and father, who is going the buy the book, any takers.

With all due respect, but if they are suing John, it just shows a bit of pettiness. It appears that since they don't get to keep using his children for ratings, they will sue him in an attempt force him into letting them be used by the channel. They also appear to only be suing him because he bad mouthed the channel instead of saying kind things about them like Kate did.

I agree, I have been saying this all along...I guess that TLC was going to see just how far John would go - he is only hurting himself. WHAT A LOSER!! And denying all the OPEN affairs with all the young girls. He is NO Daddy that I would want anyone to look up to. It has always been Kate Plus Eight and keeping John in line...Good for you TLC...get rid of him & on with the show - We love Kate & the kids. She loves to work & she loves her children and from DAY ONE, THEY have been her ONLY concern! Now THAT is a Mom that we all can learn from!

I am SO happy to see that TLC is doing this. Jon is disgusting. I hope that the judge takes a LoT of money away from Jon and that TLC then turns around and gives at least part of it to Kate to support the kids. I hope Jon ends up living at the Y and riding a skateboard. He deserves whatever he gets. Kate for the most part has "taken the high road". She didn't comment publically about most things until he STOLE money from their account. Jon is facing contempt charges for that, and now the TLC suit.....I LOVE IT!!!!
