Jon Gosselin Sued by TLC Over Contract

TLC is suing Jon Gosselin for breaching his contract as the star of 'Jon & Kate Plus 8,' TMZ reports.

The lawsuit, filed Friday in Maryland, the network alleges Gosselin ignored his obligations as an exclusive employee and profited by making unauthorized appearances on other TV programs. Gosselin has been a busy guy, making stops at several network morning shows and a high-profile, multi-night stint on 'Entertainment Tonight.'

Gosselin has starred for two years in 'Jon & Kate Plus 8,' which has been consumed in recent months by marital turmoil as Gosselin and his wife, Kate Gosselin, feuded, then filed for divorce. The couple are the parents of young twins and sextuplets.

Recently, TLC announced the show would be renamed 'Kate Plus Eight,' with a reduced presence by Jon Gosselin. A TLC spokeswoman, Laurie Goldberg, has said the show's longtime future remains in question.

I actually feel bad for Jon,the show has always been about her,and now it really is all about her.She should partner up with another egotistical b****,she goes by the name "octo-mom".Then it could be called "Nadia and Kate plus sixteen"

JON IS NOT LOOKING OUT FOR HIS KIDS. HE STOPPED KATE AND THE KIDS FROM GOING ON WITH THE SHOW JUST TO GET BACK AT KATE. HE SHOULD HAVE LET THE SHOW GO ON AND HAVE THE COURT ORDER SO MUCH OF THE MONEY PUT INTO A FUND FOR THE KIDS TO HAVE AT A LATER DATE. HE TOOK THAT MONEY OUT AND LIED ABOUT IT. I DON'T TRUST HIM. IF THEY PUT THE KIDS OUT IN FRONT THEY MIGHT DO THE RIGHT THING.

I sort of agree with you, but Jon used the kids as pawns to get out of his contract with TLC. It says that in the court papers filed Friday. His lawyer gave TLC an ultimatum, either release Jon from the exclusivity of the contract "within the hour" or he would stop production. I mean who does this Heller think he is dealing with?? Now TLC has given Jon enough rope, he has tied a knot in it and slipped it around his neck. TLC's hired one of the most powerful lawfirms in the country to finish the job of hanging Jon. And Jon is really not a smart man, Heller's telling him it's all gonna be okay (I would assume) while the reality is Jon's world is about to come crashing down around him.

END the show. Or make it Aunt Jodi and 8 nieces and nephews. Enough of Kate. Enough of Jon. ENOUGH. If you need large families lets see more of the Bates (friends of 18 kids and counting) They know how to parent and raise children with LOVE.

Jon and Kate should remember who this is all for in the first place. They are acting like children and need a swift reality check. Stop your whining, moaning, and complaining and get over yourselves.

I really think they use TLC as a crutch for money and publicity. Both parents should consider full time jobs or degrees and work like normal people do and not put those kids all over the television screen. I am sick of seeing all of them; they need to move on!! They are not even interesting!!

Seems like a double standard to me. Kate can go on any show and say whatever she wants, but not Jon? You all say cause she has asked permission. Since when as adults did we have to start asking permission to speak? TLC is just angry that all their dirty little secrets are being revealed. Remove all the shows, remove the network!

It looks like TLC is striking back at Jon! They are angry that Jon put a halt to production,and they are hoping this lawsuit scares him enough that he changes his mind and allows the show to continue.

TLC doesn't care about these children. They only see them as a way to make MONEY!

This man is so stupid a new word needs to be invented to describe him!!!!!! I can't wait to hear the explanation (whiney excuse) for all this!

How sad. Jon and Kate were a young unsophisticated couple in love, attended church with their kids; he had a job, she had a job. Kate is master manipulator who wanted more kids, both got scared they couldn't support them, and "made a deal with the devil" Now they have money,celebrity, and fame, their marriage is over, their kids will suffer from a broken home, and the money will be gone, fighting lawsuits and end in bankruptcy, Kate will try to embrace her newfound "stardom" What a mess. I just feel sorry for the kids. Lesson to them? It's all about the money!

Nana, you are exactly right. Jon will continue the rest of his life going from one drama to the next because at this point he will NEVER grow up, NEVER change. His focus is HIM and that will cause him nothing but problems the rest of his life.

Jon wanted to go out and get his end wet with different women... Jon broke the arrangement he had with TLC...Case closed... Now it's time to pay the fiddler..

Oh geesh.....put a lid on it! We've had enough of both of them! Put the children in a normal family environment away from their parents who created this fiasco. Let them be normal kids and grow up away from the news media, the TLC cameras and all of this nonsense! Put Jon and Kate into long-term counseling and make them live without all of the perks they've been provided either by TLC or as a result of the show. Hopefully, they'll be there long enough that we never have to hear another word about this mess!

I hope they take him to the cleaners! All he has been doing is trashing TLC....yet he wants all the money he makes from this! Joh is a LOSER and realized how much he had walked away from! I think each day more and more people are sympathizing with Kate! For those who say she treated Jon like crap....look at his behavior right now.....she didn't treat him like crap, she treated him like a CHILD and clearly he needed to be treated like one!
