Lindsay Lohan Ordered to Court

Lindsay Lohan has been ordered to appear in court on Friday by the judge who presided over her DUI case, TMZ is reporting. The judge reportedly got information from the alcohol education program that Lohan was forced to participate in that sparked his decision for the prompt hearing.

According to TMZ, defendants generally would not have to appear in court in cases similar to this, but for one reason or another, the judge feels that Lohan must attend.

In the summer of 2007, Lohan was arrested twice for driving under the influence -- once in May and once in July. Aside from driving drunk, police involved in the July arrest also found cocaine in Lohan's pocket.

Weeks later, Lohan checked herself into Cirque Lodge Treatment Center, a high-class rehabilitation center frequented by many stars. It was her second rehab stint, having gone once before in January of 2007.

In August 2007, Lohan pleaded guilty to DUI and cocaine possession charges. She was sentenced to a day in jail, community service and an alcohol education program, which is now the focus of the new hearing.

ONE DAY in jail for cocaine possession and drunk driving. Any normal person would have been sent to prison for years. The hypocrisy of the American legal system is the disgrace of the entire modern world.

The reason they don't keep celebrities in jail is it actually costs more than the normal person because they need "protection" and private cells. Not saying its right but its true. That and they are more likely to receive complaints from celebrities for "unfair" treatment or abuse which they have the lawyers to get money from the system for.

And if I had got caught for the same you know they would have made me stay much longer.

So messed up, and it all does come down to money.

Why? You just don't like her. Alcohol and drug use really deserves jail? You're nuts. In the meantime, violent crime goes on because the cops are too invested in busting people doing what they want with their own bodies. Leave her alone.

People need to remember that when they point a finger, make rude comments about a person(s) that finger is pointing back at themselves also. So perhaps the Cowboys should take stock of why they are struggling. It has nothing to do with Jessica Simpson (and her "weight"), but more with the abilities of the players on the team.

Hitting bottom is a personal process. It's too bad she has to have her dirty laundry aired in front of the world, but I guess that's the flip side of fame. I got clean & sober at age 19 and have been so for 28+ yars now thanks to a recovery program. At first, I was motivated by just wanting to stay out of jail but later, I actually wanted to grow spiritually. The first thing I did after I got clean was to cut all ties to the people I was getting high with. I invited some of them to come and see me at the meetings, but not one of my "friends" ever showed up.

It is sad that Ms.Lohan has still not learned a lesson and thinks she is above the law and better than everyone else. Her enabling mother and the stupid general public who were fawning over this " child star with marginal talent at best" combined with this girl's narcissism is bad. Lindsay needs to be locked up for about six months and sobered up for her own good and I hope this judge can see that also.

I knew the minute she started going to clubs again that she'd do another nose dive. She looked awful during the fashion show & i've heard has gotten worse. She has no one to reign her in like Britney's dad did to Britney. I think she's gonna be one of those that doesn't make it. I give her a year max to be added to the deceased list.

Anyone caught behind the wheel under the influence of either alcohol or drugs should be forced to go the morgue to view dismembered and disfigured bodies and maimed-for life people in hospitals due to ireesponsible uncaring people such as Lindsay Lohan! Courts are way too lenient!
