"I am indeed recovering from a bout of the H1N1 flu virus," Rycrof, 26, tells Usmagazine.com. "Like most people who become infected, I thought I had a mild case of the common flu, but when my symptoms exacerbated, I immediately went to the hospital where I was diagnosed with H1N1 and given the proper medications to cure the infection."
The former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader wants people to know "how easy it is to battle this flu when you take the proper steps such as seeking the care of a doctor."
Rycroft appeared on season 13 of 'The Bachelor' and was proposed to by the show's star, Jason Mesnick. But on a wrap-up episode, Mesnick rescinded the proposal and instead chose the runner-up, Molly Malaney.
In May, Rycroft finished third on 'Dancing With the Stars.'

There are no medications to "cure the infection" of swine flu. It is a virus and Tamiflu can lessen the severity. Perhaps that is what she was given. Also if there is a superinfection of bacteria, antibiotics would be used. Perhaps that is also the case here. I hope she is recovering well.

I had the H1N1 as well, I am in my 40's and it took a little over a month to go away. Mine started with a dry cough, then sore throat, fever, congestion and so on. I held onto the dry cough for a long time. Finally went away a couple days ago. (I also ran a low grade fever for about a month as well.)

i had the swine flu. it kicked my butt. my suggestion. tlyenol.iv fluids,zofran,bedrest. oral antibiotics. still weak 2 weeks later.

I had the H1N1 as well, I am in my 40's and it took a little over a month to go away. Mine started with a dry cough, then sore throat, fever, congestion and so on. I held onto the dry cough for a long time. Finally went away a couple days ago. (I also ran a low grade fever for about a month as well.)
