In the past 24 hours, balloon boyFalcon Heene has made a name for himself. The 6-year-old son of storm-chasers was thought to be inside of a mylar balloon that took flight in Colorado. It turned out that he was never inside at all, and now he's making the rounds on talk shows. But it's not his first time on television.
His family participated in ABC's 'Wife Swap,' where two families switch mothers as part of the reality series. In this episode, Heene's mother traded places with Sherri Silver, a psychic mom of two, and hilarity ensued. Watch
When Mayumi Heene meets the family she will live with for two weeks, they clash from the beginning. She mocks her fellow wife's profession, "Mayumi's going to have a great time, I see it," she predicts while hovering over a crystal ball.
"He's a very feminine husband," she adds of Sam Silver, who is a stay-at-home dad.
"She's a lazy b-tch," Mayumi explains, after realizing Sherri does none of the housework.
"Is that like a dead poodle or something?" Mrs. Heene remarks when she sees Sam's hair.
Sam, himself, believes it's fate that these two families are coming together.
"They say the viewers voted to put Sherri and Mayumi's family together. But actually the universe wanted that because you're looking at a scientist and a psychic together."
Meanwhile, Sherri tries to deal with the Heenes. At first, they are excited to meet a psychic and the boys dance around joyfully. But it fades quickly.
Richard Heene tries to get Sherri to read his mind, but when it falls apart, she gets upset.
"Why don't we do this another time? You know I don't need to sit here and do a test the second I meet you, I really don't," Sherri says.
"She claims that this is what she does but then why can't she see through my brain and my eyes at what I'm looking at?" Richard questions.
Sherri is also shocked at the language the Heene boys use, as she tries to put them to bed.
"How the children were behaving was unbelievable. I guess Richard feels that that's some kind of game they play," she laments.
Yes, I believe they DO! Poor, poor kids. The wife is an abused woman- she just doesn't realize it. Richard is a nut case! I WILL NOT watch Wife-Swap because I cannot stand to see anyone abuse a women. Why haven't the authorities investigated him yet???
So, my question is: how do these families survive economically? Is there big money in psychic readings and making stupid inventions or chasing storms? As far as the little kids' language, I've always judged someone's intelligence by their propensity to substitue multisyllabic words with four letter ones. So, these little kids are ignorant due to their parents influence, and are, in my opinion, de-evolving to the animalistic. I'd hate to see 5 consecutive generations of families bred by these Neanderthal throw-backs. I consider both these families to be deficient socially, philosophically, and behaviorally. I will give the fake psychic's family a little credit, in that the kids at least seem intelligent enough to express themselves with out throwing in monosyllabic expletives.
What the hell, these people are probably just doing this so they can get on tv. Another "octomom", I bet. They just want attention like most people nowdays, some one smack america back into some sense!
I agree! To much stupid stuff on the media.after I found out the boy wasnt in there and safe at home.who cares I wouldnt watch one enterview with them dont feed in to crap america!
One thing is clear, Richard Heene is a nut case of classic proportions. This was a planned event, a puplicity stunt and he will hopefully face charges. Flights were canceled and delayed as millions watched this drama unfold on TV, for everyone thought this poor child had fallen to his death. It is my hope that child protective services will take a close look at this family and decide whether they are fit to raise these children.
I don't believe that this was a plan event as you have claim. And I don't think they don't need to look into this as the boy is ok and nothing happen to him. I think it was wrong of the kid to hide in the attic in a box.
Everything this family does is planned for tv. They have been on WifeSwap, twice, they are also on a new show called StormChasers. They want the attention. Also, when the boy was asked why he didn't respond when the people were calling for him, the boy replied because you said it was for a tv show. At least the kid learned something and that was to tell the truth.
Kate Gosslin is just as big of a nut case as Richard and yet the media LOVE her. Her and Richard are both guilty of spousal abuse! I think that they should meet and file crews from TLC should follow them.lol That would be hilarious seeing the two of them flipping out and having tantrums like children.
i think this family, is disorginized, disrespectable, and i can see, the children being totally out of control..the parents need to be parents, and do kid things, things the kids are interesed in..the kids are living there life..
Who knows if this was planned! The point is that the parents made an assumption that their son was on board with the balloon. They gave the authorities wrong information, which sent the police and community on a search that was pointless. However I agree with most that this dad is an narcissistic ass that needs a wake up call.
They are real bad Parents & should pay for the rescue! We kept a close eye on Our Kids 24-7,till They were in Their teens & proved to Us,They were responsiable teenagers!
The family SHOULD pay for the expenses incurred for this incident. The possible danger of having an inflatable just tethered was very irresponsible. As far as it being a publicity stunt. Only they would know. Monies spent shouldn't come from agencies that are supported by tax dollars. If it is not paid for by the family it will just incourage others to look for publicity. Maybe seems hard. But one should be responsible for their own actions. That is unless everyone would like to donate $1 to my own fund.
So,let me get this straight. The sheriff thinks this isn't a hoax all bc the kid seemed so hyper and the parents reacted in such a way in believing the kid was in the balloon. Hysterical 911 call my ass. The sheriff is a damn idiot! Its obvious that it was a hoax. These parents just wanted to get back into the media spot light after their wife-swap days. I mean seriously this just doesn't add up whatsoever. As soon as he was found his father began pimping the kid and story out to the media. If I truely thought that my kid had floated away in a damn balloon pimping him out to the media would be the very last thing on my mind. Stupid ass sheriff
The sheriff is right it isn't a hoax so your wrong WootsCute that this was hoax you have no proof to backup your claim WootsCute. So your the idiot and the moron WootCute. I do agree the Parents aren't good parents.

Are there going to be charges filed for illegal launching of a device into air traffic space? So many resources were used in this case.

Totally agree with you, they should be a shame of themselves, and should be punished for making that stupid show that cost a lot of money.
