Artie Lange Mysteriously Absent

'Howard Stern Show' sidekick Artie Lange has missed more than a week of work and fans want to know what's up. Lange's mysterious absence shot the 42-year-old comedian's name to the top of Google Trends this morning. His audience is wondering - is he just sick, having caught a cold on a flight earlier this week, as he said on a voicemail left for producer Gary "Baba Booey" Dell'Abate? Or is Lange back on smack, as many, including Howard have publicly wondered.

Lange sent in another text message this morning explaining his absence, but Howard wouldn't read it on the air. However, he did show Robin Quivers, who responded, "Oh dear. I thought what he's taking is supposed to prevent that." The mystery continues into week 2.

Who care's I wish they would get rid of him he is not funny. I find his storie's and just him boring. The show was alot funnier when Jackie the Joke man was on it. Jackie worked a hell of alot more on the comedy strip's the Artie and he made it to work everyday. When Artie started making alot of money he stopped caring good Bye.

Just got done reading Artie's book, "Too Fat to Fish"; sounds to me like he's back on heroin. When Robin says that she thought what he was taking was supposed to prevent that, I'll bet she was referring to Subutex, which he says he's taken numerous times to get off the smack.

BTW, the book was just alright. I didn't even know he was before I bought it, lol.

Really does anyone pay to listen to Howard Stern? I don't care what his format on the show is~~ do people pay for radio priveleges with a kook like that on? Especially him? I really dont believe people would pay to hear him anyway! Why? He's an old guy whos really not very talented but always argumentative ~~jeez you can get that anywhere why pay to hear that crap?
