Adam Lambert is the flamboyant performer who captured the hearts of American women on 'American Idol.' Despite finishing second last season to Kris Allen, the singer is ready to go out on his own.

Lambert talks to Details -- on the magazine's new Web site -- about being a sex symbol for young girls -- even though he's openly gay -- and how he likes to connect to his fans. "A lot of times I'll pick up a bra and play with it during a song. It's a way to connect. It's like, 'I threw my bra up onstage and you're spinning it around. Cool. Yay,'" he says. More Inside

Being a sex symbol for women: "It's all fantasy -- that's what entertainment is. I'm here to entertain you, and if my sexuality is apparent and you respond to it, and you're attracted to it, then great, I'm doing my job. It ain't happening anyway!'"

His 'American Idol' roots: "There's a feeling of entitlement [with the fans] because they voted to get us where we are. But you know what? I am responsible for what I created on the show -- you voted for what I created, and thank you, but I created it, you didn't."

I think women are crazy for having a crush on this guy. Frankly I find him creepy looking. He is also full of himself. He also needs to acknowledge that though fans voted for him, he wouldn't have gotten anywhere without them, so Yay, he should be a little grateful for that, but his attitude will start to turn people off. He is just too over the top & frankly rather arrogant.
