Bethenny Frankel, Pregnant and Engaged

Bethenny Frankel used Twitter to tell her fans she's pregnant, despite just denying the news yesterday and announcing her engagement earlier this weekend. "I'm pregnant," the 38-year-old 'Real Housewives of New York' said on her Twitter, adding that she "had to be true w u but was unfairly forced to come forward early."

The "come forward early" part likely refers to a Perez Hilton post citing that she was indeed expecting -- just in much less classy language. Just this week, Frankel confirmed that she and boyfriend Jason Hoppy were engaged.

Her fellow housewives were in denial mode on Monday night. Jill Zarin told UsMagazine: "It's a rumor! I don't know why someone started that."

Frankel will be getting her own spin-off show on Bravo, and will also be on the next season of 'Housewives.'

Love Bethenny, but so disappointed that she's doing things in the WRONG order. We're supposed to get married first and THEN get pregnant. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her that this isn't another bad choice - I thought that her ex was a jerk. But she wasn't valuing herself enough as shown by shacking up with him. She hasn't known her fiancee for very long, so let's hope he's a good guy.

YOu are right. I thought it was me thinking that what the celebrities are doing; getting pregnant and maybe or not, getting married, is bad. It sends a bad message to everyone as well as the illegitimate children that have to deal with that the rest of their lives, having unstable parents.

Please tell me what century you are living in. Bethany is an adult who obviously can make her own decisions. What about all the teenagers that are getting pregnant. Some haven't even hit 13 and they find themselves in that prediciment. Love happens, sometimes quickly, and babies happen too. Especially when you want so desperately to find the right man and have a family. So what if it's not the order you think it should be in. It's Bethany's life, her decision, and I'm thrilled for her. Let's face it, after the baby comes, no one is ever going to say, what did you have that for, it was a big mistake. When babies show up whether planned or not you fall instantly in love and would throw yourself in front of a locomotive to protect you child.

Well, Nancy, just b/c 13 y/o girls get knocked up doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. Babies need stable families no matter what century they're conceived. Single parenthood is more accepted now than it was a generation ago, but it's still a BAD thing for kids. Even animals know a proper nest is essential before bringing young into the world.

Well, I don't think celebrities are any different in this regard then many Americans. Bethenny is almost 40 years old, self sufficient, and successful... she can "shack up" with the man she loves and get pregnant without judgment for all I care. As a child of parents that planned my birth well before marriage, I can assure you that I am fine and my parents have been happily married for 25 years. Some people, especially successful adults in this day and age, look at marriage as just a piece of paper but a biological clock is not always negotiable. I am happy for them both for deciding to bring a child into this world... the child is just as precious whether conceived in or out of wedlock and will be loved.

If anyone should get their own show it should be Jill. She's a mover and a shaker in NYC Society. Bethenny is just not that interesting. But what better way to get her off Housewives than to give her her own show and then watch it fail. Bye, bye Bethenny!
