Gosselin Kids 'Wailing and Sobbing' Now That Cameras Are Gone

Kate Gosselin's kids are "angry" and "acting out," she says, now that their TLC show has been iced by the network. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the reality mom recounts what happened when she told her brood that 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' (renamed 'Kate Plus 8') was shutting down.

"Actually, times eight, there was wailing and sobbing," she says. "They love our crew, they love the interaction, they love the events. There is nothing harmful about it. They are angry."

The divorce of their parents, and the media storm clouds constantly hovering above, have resulted in noticeable changes in the children's behavior, Kate admits.

"I'm trying to give them the grace to see, if they're acting out of line, I'm trying to look deeper into why that is," she says. "Why the kids are acting out. Cause it's all inter-related. I mean, they don't see it, but it's all interconnected."

The absence of dad Jon Gosselin, who moved out and now lives in New York City, has played an obvious role. "They miss him," she says. "They say they miss him. I imagine they say the same thing when I'm away ... "

Kate also lashes out at the paparazzi, saying the kids have become so used to their presence, that she has to instruct them how to act.

"I always tell [the children], 'Turn your back and don't look at them, don't speak to them,'" says Kate. "I don't even let them use the word. I mean, no five-year-old should be using the word 'paparazzi.'"

"The ones claiming we are exploiting our children," Kate says, "are the ones exploiting our children!"

I can't stand Toddler's and Tiara's.....OMG them mom's are only living their fantasy dream through their kids. Some of those kids hate it.

Kate needs to stop all her extracurricular activities
and stay home with her children.
I raised 6 children and to properly nurture and
give them the attention they need is a 24 hour job. It wasn't a sacrifice but a joy.
Now that they are grown I can do other things
for me.
Kate and Jon are only dedicated to themselves and
not their children.

I heard that just like the Heene family...this divorse is just a huge publicity stunt...a hoax...for ratings...yup Jon and Kate will get back together...and their show will be back on top...mark my words...lol

Last night I watched "Little People, Big World" and Amy had Zach's "thinking chair" reupholster as a surprise. When Zach received his chair the hug he gave his mother was so real and beautiful. Then Amy took the older boys to visit a college. Amy and Matt also attended the boys last high school soccer game. They don't have to fly to Florida, California, or visit a ship like the Gosselins, the Roloffs are real and the show shows so much love. After watching "Little People, Big World" "Jon and Kate plus 8" came on...I had to change the channel. It's just not real and Kate acts as though she's always speaking to the camera and is not real. I just don't see real life...love.

Zach was so close to Mike, I still can't believe he died. His "thinking chair" will always remind him of Mike. I thought it was very touching.

Boo Hoo, I bet Mady was the worst, she's such a brat.

It's not like the crew people died. Let them visit them if they are so attached to them, they don't have to have a camera Kate. We aren't stupid Biatch..It's like your grandma and grandpa leaving when they have been visiting.. Kids Cry... Get a life ...

'wailing and sobbing'? puhleeeeeze. That unruly pack has wailed, and sobbed, threw things and stomped, sassed and pouted since the beginning of the program. I was a captive audience to this albatross trying to feed them on an episode when thy were younger. Kate knows about as much about Mothering as I do about rocket science. Somewhere, someone will miss them ... Not this old hen. I say pay them what is due and get load up the cameras.

No one is buying Kate's lame-ass lie. The kids' [supposed] reaction should have absolutely no bearing on the decisions being made by the adults. The show has simply run its course; granted, its demise was hastened by the Jon&Kate implosion, but hey. That's life.

Wailing and Sobbing! The kids are acting out. They are angry and they are hurt. Yes they miss Jon they are his kids. But they are angry too. Their parents, the 2 most important people in the world to them are divorcing. They can't grasp all that it means. Yes they know Dad lives in New York and Mom in Pa. They have been told by both parents they love them and will always be there for them yet the kids feel betrayed. Betrayed by parents who have said before God till death do us part. who do they believe now? 2 people who have lied to them. I know Jon & Kate love their but Jon is being selfish by not giving up his girlfriend. Right now he needs to concentrate on his kids needs. The kids need stability not selfishness. The show and the crew is all those kids remember. Has anyone asked the crew if they miss the kids? when you have worked with people for more than 1/2 their life there is going to be seperation anxiety. The crew were their friends. As for the paparazzi they will still be there like vultures circling overhead waiting to smell death so they can swoop in and eat what's left. It's too bad the Paparazzi don't suffer from people shadowing them in their painful moments.

Who does she think she is kidding? They always acted out. I could only watch them for a few minutes because I was not entertained by yelling, crying, fighting kids and a woman dogging a man constantly. If theirs were the only TV shows, I would sell my TV. Matter of fact, I would like to see them discontinue all reality shows. I haven't found one that was real entertainment. No Talent there !!!!!!!!!

The fact that Kate said ANYTHING to the children about no more show,is what made it traumatic to them. If she had said nothing,then when they ask a question,you answer it. What planet is the person from that agrees with Kate about the media exploiting her children? If she felt that way,why did she allow all the media coverage in the first place? By the way,that's a rhetorical question.The answer is obvious.How ridiculous. The crew has become like family. How about letting them have daily contact with their REAL family? Another rhetorical question. But I will answer this one: because it doesn't pay MONEY to have daily contact with relatives, only television cameras. I don't even watch this show. I am just so sick of the daily coverage of these people,you would think they actually DID something to contribute to society.Tells you how far our society has fallen,when the Heenes ASPIRE to be reality television stars. The younguns may "miss" the TLC Crew but to Wail & Scream+"NOT"!!
