Flip-Flopping 'Bachelor' Jason Mesnick Proposes to Molly Malaney

Jason Mesnick has made up his mind: he's gonna marry Molly Malaney! The guy who [in]famously reversed his decision after the finale of 'The Bachelor' popped the question on Tuesday while the pair vacationed in New Zealand, PEOPLE is reporting.

The island nation was the scene where Mesnick proposed to Melissa Rycroft on national television last fall. On a wrap-up episode, Mesnick rescinded the proposal and instead chose the runner-up, Malaney.

Since then, they've been carrying on a long-distance relationship, with him in Seattle and she in Milwaukee. The New Zealand trip was designed, a friend of the couple says, so "Jason can do what he should have done in the last time he was here, and ask Molly to marry him."

Incidentally, Rycroft has moved on as well. Earlier this year, she became engaged to Tye Strickland.

I wish Molly and Jason well. Maybe he should of gotten with Molly from the get go. And Molly will be the perfect stepmom for Ty.I'm glad to hear everyone has gone there separate ways,including Melissa,Jillian and I'm so glad to hear Jake is our next bachelor.

Best wishes to Jason & Molly. They were destined to be together in the end as they are a perfect match. Melissa was not right for him. Molly is & I was FOR her all along. Jason was wise to have recognized his initial mistake & rectify it (for all concerned).
