Mia Michaels Cancer', 'Contessa Brewer' and 'Lil Wayne Gun' are surging in Google Trends? We can shed some light on the mystery - the bonus feature of the Google search engine provides the 40 most-searched terms of the hour. Of course, the results change frequently, but at any given time, it's a great snapshot of what's on people's minds regarding pop culture.

Here's what's hot in the world of search...
Mia Michaels Cancer - This is one of those speculative searches. Kinda like 'Kanye West RIP' or 'Queen Elizabeth Pregnant.' Mia Michaels announced on Wednesday that she'd be leaving 'So You Think You Can Dance' after 5 seasons in the judging booth. Rumors are circulating that the famed choreographer has been seen about tinseltown with a shaved head. Add those two together and you've got cancer speculation. There's been no official word out of Michael's camp or FOX, but we hope the Googling guessers are wrong.
Collin Wilcox - 'To Kill a Mockingbird' is just one of those books/movies our culture will never forget. That's in large part why Googlers are moved to hear of the passing of Collin Wilcox, the actress who played Mayella Ewell, the woman who falsely accuses a black man of rape. Her character is far from the most memorable in the story, though her performance while being cross-examined on the on the witness stand is considered one of the best moments of the film. Wilcox also appeared in 'Jaws 2,' 'The Twilight Zone,' 'The Untouchables,' and 'Gunsmoke.' She was 74.
Contessa Brewer - Not sure if this is hilarious or horrifying. We'll go with hilarious for the moment. MSNBC anchor Contessa Brewer introduced Jesse Jackson as Al Sharpton yesterday while interviewing the civil rights activist on homelessness yesterday. Jackson didn't flinch. He looked into the camera and said, "I'm Rev. Jesse jackson." Brewer apologized, sorta, blaming the snafu on "the script." "We all know who you are," she said. "I'm so sorry."
Patricia Cornwell - Yesterday we told you Andie MacDowell will be staring in a pair of Patricia Cornwell screen adaptations on Lifetime. Today, news hits the wire that the best-selling crime author has lost her $40 million fortune. In a lawsuit filed last week, Cornwell claims her money managers gave a $5,000 bat mitzvah gift to a daughter of a principal of the firm handling her estate, an $11,000 gift to an associate of the firm, and payed themselves $1 million without providing a bill. Why didn't Cornwell handle her own fortune in the first place? She's bipolar, which "has contributed to her belief that it is prudent for her to employ others to manage her business affairs."
Lil Wayne Gun - Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. is in trouble, and he knows it. Today he pled guilty to "attempted weapon possession" in a New York City court. His tour bus was pulled over in 2007 after cops smelled some marijuana, and according to reports, Lil Weezy tried to toss out of sight a Louis Vuitton bag containing a firearm. Thanks to NYC's super tough gun laws, the rapper could spend as much as a year in jail. But this is only the beginning of Wayne's legal labors. In March he'll stand trial in Arizona, for his 2008 run-in with the law during which cops found 105 grams of weed, 41 grams of ecstasy, and a gun on his tour bus. "When you're really rich, then asparagus is yummy!" (Sorry, had to.)
