Jodie Sweetin Lied About Her Sobriety

Jodie Sweetin is finally coming clean -- about not really coming clean. Despite her claims that she had kicked her drug habit, the 'Full House' star admits she's was just lying to everyone. In her new tell-all book 'unSweetined,' Sweetin says she relapsed but kept booking gigs to make quick money to pay for her drug addiction.

"I was back to partying like I was at my worst, spending seven hundred dollars a week on meth [and] coke." she wrote. She even reveals downing a bag of coke right before one of her interviews. After the jump, read the juicy excerpts >>

In an excerpts (via Huffington Post), Sweetin writes that during her sobriety college tour at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, "I thought for sure that one of the professors would take one look at me and kick me out. But none did. They wanted to hear about the trials and tribulations of Jodie Sweetin, or at least the Jodie Sweetin I had created by appearing on Good Morning America and talking to People magazine," she continued.

"The relapse started one day, just a few months after my GMA spot, when I got a random phone call from a friend who I used with and who occasionally sold me drugs. I invited her to my place. I was in an apartment at the time. I knew it was a really bad idea to invite her over but I wanted to test myself, I guess. We hung out, played cards. I told her I hadn't done meth in a while. One thing led to another and just like that, I was back," she writes.

"I was living a complete lie. But unfortunately, guilt doesn't make you stop. I talked about growing up on television and about how great my life was now that I was sober... The little bit of coke that I had done before the speech wasn't enough to make me forget how bad I felt for doing what I was doing. The guilt was eating away at me. I was struggling to keep it together, but no one realized that. I finished. They applauded. Standing ovation. Just how I liked it. And it was over."

Sweetin admits she returned to her room tired but made time for one more hit. "I was just so tired. Tired of lying. Tired of pretending to be someone that I wasn't. I took a deep breath and walked out of the lecture hall. I went back to my hotel room and buried my face in my hands. I couldn't keep doing this. It had to end.But not today. I wiped away the tears and finished the baggie of coke."

Wow... she's coming clean, but people are still talking sh!t about her. Who cares if she's selling a book? And of course drug addicts are going to lie, don't be so naive.

I couldn't care less about this girl, I was thinking it was the oldest girl from the show at first. But wow, the people are pretty harsh on here. I'm guessing it's mostly tweens and self-righteous liars who have their own demons. And like someone else said, keep being unsympathetic. It will come back to you... it's called karma, b!+ches.

Jodie Sweetin needs an intervention from her former Co-Stars from "Full House" and her family should send her to a Christian Rehab Center and refuse to let her out until she promises to never have antoher relaps and to stop hanging out with her friends who do drugs.

I thought she was an annoying brat on the show, and apparently she has grown up to be an annoying ass. Can't get a job, can't act, so she writes books about the art of lying. seriously? Does anyone give a rats ass about this screwball? Go away Jodie....just go away.

Hope she turns out ok, she seems like a smart girl. Other than the drugs she has no real controversy like a lot of these other girls in the business.

Once a addiction alway a addiction. As sadly to says that it mostly time it true. I been there never done Meth or cokecane but I had done Crack that was my biggest mistake I have ever done. End up losing my job with in the 5 years that I was using at the time. I had my job for over 18 years. I had Credit Problems but I never lost my license or car because of my using. I try to get help the whole thing it up to you to stop only you and you only. its not as easy as it sound to wait drugs took a long long time. But I'm getting there just need a good job. That all I have to say. Good Luck Jodie you was a cutie back then.

I'm an alcoholic. It doesn't matter to me whether or not you care and I certainly don't want your sympathy. Alcoholism and drug addiction is about selfishness. The drugs and alcohol wasn't my problem. I just used it to overcome the emotional effects of my own selfishness. But I'm sure I couldn't even compare to the likes of Chuck in that department. We all have something to compensate for it. For Chuck, it's rightious cynicism.

I have a physical condition which disables my ability to choose whether or not to continue drinking once I start. There is no cure for it. But once I learned how to do away with the selfishness, I lost my will to start drinking.....problem solved.

Its actually quite simple. Those that struggle are not getting past the physical and mental disorder. So they completely miss out on the spiritual end of it and selfishly keep doing it their own way. They invariably end up drunk....stoned, jailed, dead or whatever.

So there is no cause for sympathy; no need for the likes of Chuck to care about us. We got nothing on him if we're not willing to deal with our own selfishness.

I care. Unless you have never been involved in alcohol or drugs it's easy not to, but I care. She is an addict, and she will need help the rest of her life. She told the truth, she didn't have to, but she did. Most people are not going to understnd the inner struggle addicts deal with on a daily basis. In a world where everyone expects everything right now, and can't be bothered to know your neighbors, much less care about anyone else, I think you have just as big of problems as someone addicted to drugs and alcohol. I welcome the chance for anyone who has been through this to share and educate the rest of us, I know it has saved me.

I took the time to post - because one key thing here - addition is NOT a disease. It is a CHOICE. You choice to drink or do drugs, and you can choose to stop. You do not choose cancer or any other disease.

I am sick and tired of seeing celebrities preaching to me when I am by far a better person than they are getting PAID to be. This world is just full of crap.
