She converted because she loves him, probably had explored the religion over the years, and felt it would be better for the sake of the children to be brought up with one religion.

You would have thought it would be the other way around, him converting to her religion. Where was her dad when she made that dumb decision?

It’s not disguising she obviously wanted to do it. No one forced her under a gun. Just so you know it is very difficult and time consuming to become Jewish and one must really want deep down in their heart to do it, because in essence it’s too much trouble to convert to Judaism if you’re heart is not in it. A religion is a personal choice, and no one has the right to judge what one does when it concerns their religion

What does it matter--in the end we all believe in God and are all going to the same destination. The path may be different but the destination is the same. Be happy they have God in thier lives. She will never truely not believe that Jesus is the son of God. Disciple or son, we all believe Jesus existed--isn't that enough!

Now really. How petty of you to even metion that. Do you think that this girl makes any life changing decision like changing her religion because someone "makes" her? I don't think so. You know religion doesn't mean the same thing to all people. Some people genuinely feel compelled to be good people, concerned citizens, both morally and ethically bound to decent principles. It's a spiritual thing to them. So call it what you want. I'm sure she didn't do it because she was forced to. If she converted to your religion would you have made this comment? I don't think so.

I kind of agree with you. When love is supposedly more important than how you worship then there's a foundational problem from the start.

Christanity is a sub religion of Judasim. Old Book, New Book, Same Book just rewritten. Jesus was Jewish.
I am not Jewish but it is not wrong for her to convert.

Religious conversion for a spouse is based on your dominant belief system. Ivanka is more spiritual than categorized like a devout catholic or whatever you may think she was giving up. She realized that religion was more important to him, and chose to convert for the children (note: Although Judaism is more relaxed these days about the rules, there is still the mother's religion taken with the orthodox as being the true religion of the child) I'm sure she was more into this relationship about love and compromise and not about giving up one faith for the other. Either way, I'm glad someone gets to bang her... ;)
