Ivanka Trump Has Lavish Wedding
Ivanka Trump walked down the aisle this weekend, and though this may come as a terrible shock,
PEOPLE reports that
Donald Trump's eldest daughter celebrated her nuptials with a lavish reception. Trump, 27, wore a Vera Wang gown when she wed publisher Jared Kushner in a ceremony at the Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey on Sunday.
"She looks amazing," a rep told PEOPLE.
Regis Philbin was among the 500-plus guests at the reception planned by celebrity event designer Preston Bailey. The 'Live With Regis and Kelly' star was called upon to sing for the wedding couple.
The bride planned to spend her big day "dancing like a maniac with all of my friends," according to a recent post to
her Twitter account. Her last update came the morning of her wedding as Trump relaxed before the ceremony:
"Just finished a gorgeous hike. The leaves are spectacular and the sun is shining. Everything is simply perfect! I'm getting married today!"
Kushner asked the entrepreneur for her hand in marriage in July. Trump announced the engagement to the world online, tweeting, "I got engaged last night...truly the happiest day of my life!!!"
"I only had a 3 month engagement so it was all done pretty quickly," the newlywed told
Us magazine before the ceremony. "To all those women planning a wedding, just be organized and decisive. It also helps if you have a wedding planner helping you out!"
The couple have been dating since 2007. They briefly split, but reconciled in July 2008. Trump even converted to Judaism for her then-boyfriend.
Trump is a co-host of 'Celebrity Apprentice,' a vice president at her father's real estate company, and has a jewelry company. The 28-year-old Kushner is publisher of The New York Observer and an executive at the Kushner Companies, which owns and manages commercial real estate and apartments.

For the edification of those who commented negatively about conversion to Judaism be informed that Judaism is NOT a proselytizing religion! Quite the contrary. Most Rabbis will NOT marry someone who wishes to convert for the sole purpose of satisfying the wishes of the intended spouse. The Rabbis don't try to convince a potential convert to embrace Judaism rather it's directly opposite. They (the Rabbis) are the ones who have to be convinced. Conversion to Judaism is not easy and must be voluntary and sincere. Ivanka did so because she wanted to.Oftimes converts to Judaism become more learned and dedicated to Judaism than their spouses. In many celebrity mixed Gentile/Jewish marriages there is no conversion by either party.Al Gore's daughter and John F. Kennedy's daughter BOTH married Jewish spouses. It's working.Moses married a non-Jew(also Black). That worked too.

She is without a doubt one of the most beautiful women in the world. She takes after her mother, THANK GOD. Her new hubby must treat her like a Queen cause he is definitely not much to look at. All the best to them.

You obviously care, otherwise you wouldn't have commented. Get it? Probably not, since your I.Q. is probably in the single digits.
George: Do you pitch or recieve? I think it is pretty clear that you prefer boys over women!
SISSY LA LA.......
Ivanka seems very down to earth and normal for
someone who lives in her world. That's refreshing!
On TV she said she converted to Orthodox Jewdism.
She must really be in love. I hope they have a long
happy marriage!

Gee, as rich and beautiful as she is, i never did see Ivanka with a shaved head acting like an idiot or wrecking her mercedes wacked on cocaine or starring in a x-rated sex tape. You gotta give her credit. She's a pretty complete package. A real celebrity type young women can use as a role model!

what a lovely, classy beautiful lady she is. And in this day & age that is a rare find. She has stayed grounded and very much a "person". I wish them years & years of happiness.

I'm so happy for Ivanka. She looks beautiful, and she does have brains. She graduated from the Warton School of Finance. I'm glad she found her soulmate. I wish her all the luck in the world. She's not a spoiled brat like other rich kids. She works hard.

I WOULD NEVER CONVERT TO BEING A JEW NO MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY WAS INVOLVED. COULD NOT LIVE WITH MY CONSCIENCE OF FORSAKING JESUS CHRIST AS THE SON OF GOD.

silly... jesus was a jew
I am always amazed at how many Christians will convert to Judaism for their significant other.I rarely hear about it being the other way around. I would never deny my faith for anyone, even the man I love. Fortunately I married a man who never asked me to.

With all the millions of unemployed mothers, fathers, sons and daughters in this country, as well as the countless tens of millions of people throughout the world who are in poverty, why in the world do we make such a big deal of greedy individuals? Think of all the people who could have been helped by the extravagant amount of money put out for this wedding. It never fails to amaze me how much we as a society want to find out about the "rich and famous" and at the same time ignore the needy. What really needs to be done in situations like these are for us as a people to come together and force those who have this much money to help those who have nothing. Maybe then our world will become a better place. Ethics and morals need to become paramount, for all of us must remember that we are all in the same boat. When one thrives at the expense of others, there is something majorly wrong with a society!
