Heather O'Rourke – DirecTV is catching flack for its latest controversial commercial featuring modified footage of the '90s classic 'Tommy Boy.' They're taking advantage of Chris Farley, a dead comedy legend! (David Spade disagrees, claiming it's a "cool way to remind people just how funny Chris was.") But TV watchers are now realizing that Farley isn't the first deceased actor to be featured in a DirecTV ad. Last year it was Heather O'Rourke, the little girl in 'Poltergeist' who was exploited – ergh, honored. She died at the age of 12 under mysterious circumstances. The 'Poltergeist' Curse, however, is a topic for another time.

Mark Sanchez Hot Dog – Everything started out so great for the new hotshot New York Jets quarterback. He signed a $60 million contract in June. He was featured (shirtless!) in GQ later that month. By September he had become the first rookie QB to win his first three games in the history of the NFL. But now things are unraveling. The Jets lost their next three games. Sanchez got chewed out by the notoriously gnarly New York sports press. He was fined by the NFL for a cheap shot on an opposing player. And now he's been caught on the sideline scarfing down a weiner in a bun. In his defense, his team was up 38-0, and he was feeling 'a little queasy."

Antoine Walker Broke – OK, more sports news. Why not. And it's not really about sports here. It's about celebrity. And money. And a celebrity being totally stupid with his money. Though 'Toine, and his mother, would probably call it generous. Over 12 seasons in the NBA, the semi-star made something in the realm of $110 million. Today, he is $4 million in debt, according to a Boston Globe investigation. What could he possibly spend all that money on? For one, he gave his mom a 10-bathroom mansion in the Chicago suburbs. And she says she was only one of 70 friends and relatives supported by the 6-foo-9 player at one time. Antoine Walker is soon to stand trial in Las Vegas for writing ten bad checks at a casino totaling $1 million.
