Bruce Springsteen Cancels Show After Death of Roadie... His Own Cousin
Posted Tuesday 27 October 06:49 AM By: PopEater Staff
Bruce Springsteen canceled a Kansas City performance after a road crew member - Springsteen's own cousin - died. The death of 36-year-old Lenny Sullivan was announced in a statement on Springsteen's Web site.
"A warm and sensitive person, he was beloved by Bruce, the band, the crew, and the entire Thrill Hill family," said the statement.
TMZ reports that Sullivan was found in his room at Kansas City's Intercontinental Hotel hours before Springsteen and the E Street Band were to take the stage Monday night. Sullivan had served as the band's assistant road manager for ten years.
Kansas City police spokesman Capt. Rich Lockhart said officers were investigating the death, although he said it was not suspicious, according to the Associated Press.
The Sprint Center arena said tickets would be refunded.

Would the "show go on" if one your relatives died! How insensitive!

I guess you've never really paid attention to "The Boss" during one of his interviews. When your band and crew members are considered part of the family you all stick together. Try composing yourself if your brother passes! Q.What ever happened to the show must go on? A. Sometimes it just don't! Example. They cancelled the following NASCAR race when Dale Earnhardt died.

Wow, what a shame, my condolences to his family, Bruce and everyone else who knew him. I just got into Springsteen recently I cannot believe how much I have been missing out. His last 2 albums were great, especially "Magic"

Your brain doesn't seem to be functioning very well, malcom. Perhaps you had better have it examined. Anyone who wishes brain cancer on someone should be examined often. You may have a tumor growing there.

Karma's a beeach Malcom old buddy - brain cancer is now coming for you, or maybe you already have it considering your spelling? People who wish ill on others deserve to have their ill feelings bounced right back at them - personally, I send my condolences to Bruce and his family in their time of grief because that's what a classy, caring, NORMAL person would do, and I'm not even a Springsteen fan!
