The latest in a shocking string of memoir bombshells: in his new book 'Open,' tennis star Andre Agassi admits to using crystal meth regularly in the late 90s. "I can't speak to addiction, but a lot of people would say that if you're using anything as an escape, you have a problem," he tells PEOPLE.Agassi had to consider the feelings of his fans before writing the confessional book, but said, "I was worried for a moment, but not for long. ... I wore my heart on my sleeve and my emotions were always written on my face. I was actually excited about telling the world the whole story."
'Open' deals with Agassi's drug use, but also delves into his hair loss, his difficult two-year marriage to Brooke Shields, and his relationship with current wife Steffi Graf. The autobiography is set to be released on November 9.

How wonderful! Now is there anything you can take to escape Andre Agassi?

Yeah, that's a bombshell, all right. Another chump who resorted to substance abuse because he couldn't handle his fame. I'm sorry, but I have no sympathy for this guy--and you can blame all those other suckers who did the same thing before him for the way I feel.

I'm don't really see the need for an autobiography here, I don't care about his drug use and I'm sure Brooke Shields must be absolutely thrilled at this release.

He went bald from using drugs. That is not the only kind of drug he used.He waited until he retired to tell the world about his drug use.I heard that the tennis association will take away some of his slams,he will also lose some endorsements.People will do whatever they can to sell a book.I heard he wants a reality tv show.
