Hailey Glassman: Jon Gosselin Is Emotionally Abusive, Throws 'Mantrums'

Jon minus Kate, plus... mantrums? According to new girlfriend Hailey Glassman, reality TV dad Jon Gosselin has a seriously nasty temper. In a two-part interview scheduled to air Thursday on 'The Insider' (via PEOPLE), Glassman reveals, "He'll call me and take his anger out on me. He has 'mantrums.' I shouldn't have to put up with being emotionally abused."

She adds, "I cry and say, 'Why are you so mean to me?' "

"Sometimes he has trouble with the truth," she says, "and he will dance and dance around his lies. He's like Jekyll and Hyde. But I still love him."

As if the 22-year-old hadn't already raised enough red flags with those statements, she adds that she met Gosselin without having a clear picture of the circumstances of his public life. "I met Jon in a bubble," she explains. "I'd never seen the show. I had no idea."

Gosselin's fame became clear to Glassman soon enough - she claims that the public scrutiny of her relationship is another obstacle. "People judge me before they meet me. I get threats everyday," she says. "I get called a home wrecker and a fat whore. People will stare or point. It gets worse everyday."

Glassman claims her relationship with Gosselin is "not normal," but says,"I don't want to leave him all alone. At the end of the day, I love him but I dislike him at times. When I love someone I would never hurt them."

A source close to Jon tells PEOPLE, "He was very supportive of her doing the interview. He wants her to clear her name... He has a lot of on his plate and he gets frustrated but he's supportive of her."

Of course he does. Did we not all see this comming? The girl is obviously trying to hold on to her 15 minutes any way possible. WHO CARES about Jon and Kate - stop reporting on this.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Leave the Gosselins alone and out of the news. I am so tired of being pummeled with information about Jon and Kate, whose only claim to fame is that they managed to produce an inordinate amount of kids using unnatural means. Their kids will never have their heads on straight because they've never known a normal life. Enough of the Gosselins!

Abuse part reminds me of the Barbara Walters (I think) interview with Robin Givens and Mike Tyson years ago regarding her marriage at the time.
On the other hand, I have seen alot of i-net traffic saying that Hailey was faking it, some say to distance herself from association with Jon (no more money honey), others say, to "save herself and her future" (age 22). Who knows?
I like the comment, sort of like the whole Speidi thing, just quit talking about them and they'll all go away and hopefully work it out somehow. (Especially with those darling little kids!) Saw Kate on Ellen and she did seem to have a certain "giddy-ness" about all the publicity (wierd).

I sure hope her parents help to get her away from him!!! Now does everyone get a better idea of what Kate has gone through? He lied on camera that he didn't take the money out of the bank, but a judge made him put it back. I think Jon should date Levi, they seem to have so much in common!

I don't think anyone believes Kate is the victim here. I watched them when those kids were babies, before they even had their own show and Kate was an overbearing, controlling person then. We all know Jon is weak; that's the way kate likes her men. She would never marry a strong man, one that would stand up for himself. As far as that goes, that type man would never date her.

This has nothing to do with what Kate went through. HELLO!! Kate brought on her own troubles with Jon. Kate kicked him out October 2009 and everyone wants to make Jon the bad guy. Boy I will never understand how he became the bad guy by finding a place to live when not at home with the kids. She is the one who filed for divorce - that leaves him free to see who he pleases - when he pleases. Kate is away from the home so often it's Jon who does the raising of these kids and Kate then wants to cry over everthing she caused herself.
