Hailey Glassman: Jon Gosselin Is Emotionally Abusive, Throws 'Mantrums'

Jon minus Kate, plus... mantrums? According to new girlfriend Hailey Glassman, reality TV dad Jon Gosselin has a seriously nasty temper. In a two-part interview scheduled to air Thursday on 'The Insider' (via PEOPLE), Glassman reveals, "He'll call me and take his anger out on me. He has 'mantrums.' I shouldn't have to put up with being emotionally abused."

She adds, "I cry and say, 'Why are you so mean to me?' "

"Sometimes he has trouble with the truth," she says, "and he will dance and dance around his lies. He's like Jekyll and Hyde. But I still love him."

As if the 22-year-old hadn't already raised enough red flags with those statements, she adds that she met Gosselin without having a clear picture of the circumstances of his public life. "I met Jon in a bubble," she explains. "I'd never seen the show. I had no idea."

Gosselin's fame became clear to Glassman soon enough - she claims that the public scrutiny of her relationship is another obstacle. "People judge me before they meet me. I get threats everyday," she says. "I get called a home wrecker and a fat whore. People will stare or point. It gets worse everyday."

Glassman claims her relationship with Gosselin is "not normal," but says,"I don't want to leave him all alone. At the end of the day, I love him but I dislike him at times. When I love someone I would never hurt them."

A source close to Jon tells PEOPLE, "He was very supportive of her doing the interview. He wants her to clear her name... He has a lot of on his plate and he gets frustrated but he's supportive of her."

Wake up, girl. Women in abusive relationships always say, "...but I love him." Get out now before you find yourself physically abused as well as emotionally. You'll get over him, just GET OUT...NOW!

I couldn't agree with you more. Jon seemed more like an onlooker than a hands on parent. She always had to 'ask' him to help her. I know that after having to ask my husband two and three times to do the same thing over and over again, I can get snippy too. I also hope Kate finds someone who will be more of a partner in her life, not another childish man who needs constant supervision.

Waa!! Waaa!!! Waaa!!! Jon is nothing more than a little whiney snot nosed kid. He deserves everything thrown his way and if his idiot socalled girlfriend stays with him, she's a loser also. They are well matched, I'd say. Her 15 minutes of fame are about to end, as Jon's has already. Everyone is so sick of reading their boring crap. Move on already...to more interesting people. I cant believe the part where it said he wanted her to do the interview, if so, then this really shows he has NO brains. Who would want a girlfriend on tv saying this crap about you? Yet you both still love each other? Positive signs of users just using each other for personal motives. BADDD!!!! And he says Kate needs to stop airing their dirty laundry.

My guess - WHOLE thing was PLANNED! Jon can't go before the cameras as he'd like. Wasn't the Insider the place where Jon claimed he had NOT taken the money the JUDGE MADE him PUT BACK! Hailey can go before cameras, though, can't she? Draw attention to Jon instead of Kate and get some face time for herself? Jon has done this for quite some time. Trouble is none of TEAM JON understand the consequences of their actions and words. Jon (and/or Hailey) doesn't want custody of his children? Hailey's words could adversely affect Jon's divorce, his TLC lawsuit, his reputation and image but "she loves him". Clearly NO SHE DOESN'T!

Gee, Kate always used to explain how laid back Jon was on the show and more casual about things. Somehow this picture doesn't fit Jon. I've watched all the shows and if anyone was abusive it was Kate. Jon seems to be watching the kids more and more as Kate trots around the country ignoring her family responsibilities. Nannies, babysitters, cleaning people, bodyguards see to be doing all the other work needed. Even Kate headed to the hair salon the first day the kids all went to school all day. Haley seems to enjoy the limelight too all of a sudden. A real lady would just end the relationship and walk away without all the hoopla. I still blame Kate for this mess.

Soooo many things wrong with the things Hailey's said...she never saw the show?? But...but...her family was good friends with the Gosselins...so good that Jon came and stayed at their home...surely you jest, Hailey. And yes, Jon will claim he learned to be abusive from Kate...or that he's just frustrated because of Kate...or that Hailey's demanding...or that he just can't take the pressure... Does anyone REALLY think any of the mantrums weren't a part of his personality BEFORE the split? Get real. Hailey is getting her just desserts...and Kate is better off without this silly little man.

Well, I may be wrong, however I think This is where Jon got the money to pay back the bank account , Friday he did not have the money and Monday he did!Wonder what Hailey was paid for this interview.......after all Jon "approved" the intrview! But what do I know? lol

Love them or not, at least Kate has had the good judgement not to get involved in all this mess. She has refrained from saying anything negative about Jon and his "relationships" As for aspirations to do a movie or whatever, she has 8 kids and needs to support them. How many mothers have been lucky enough to stay at home with their kids? Just because you are a mom doesn't mean that you can't have a career.

I agree. Why can't she keep her career? People aren't bashing other women for having a career in entertainment so why pick on Kate. She doesn't just do interviews like Jon. Would people feel better if she just stayed home in a t-shirt and sweat pants eating bon-bons? If you don't like her working in entertainment then you might as well say no mother should work in entertainment and that's just stupid. Give her a break.

Geez, not all of us can be as you perfect people who are posting on here. This 22 yr old (which is just a few years away from her teens) fell for the charms of a lot of these guys. Everyone is on their best behavior the first several months/yr you date them. They don't pull this crap right away, of course this young girl thinks she is in love with him, she knows the truth but deep down she is hoping he will go back to the person she thinks he is, the one he pretended to be when she met him...

Cut the girl some slack...stop being so non compassionate for others.
