Jon Gosselin and Hailey Split? Let's Investigate a Bit

It was a rough week for the relationship between Jon Gosselin and Hailey Glassman. The reality dad was blindsided by Glassman's comments on 'The Insider,' where she tearfully said that Gosselin was verbally abusive towards her and that he took out his anger on her in the form of "mantrums." Then, on Friday, unconfirmed reports that the couple split made the rounds. So are they split? Or is it just another blindly-sourced tabloid headline gone wrong? PopEater was unable to get a comment from Gosselin's reps, but after the jump, we sort out what may or may not be true.

The initial break-up news came via ExtraTV, who cited an inside source as saying that Gosselin and Glassman were "taking a break" following their tumultuous week. Extra reported that after Gosselin consulted with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, he decided that he "needed to spend some time on his own."

Gosselin has generally been straight-forward with news like this, so it is unlike him to let a tabloid beat him to the jump, and if it's false, to not clarify or comment on the news following the report.

PEOPLE thinks there's larger choreography at play, with a source saying the break-up scenario "has all been designed so that it doesn't seem as though Hailey got dumped."

That, it seems, could be true. In PopEater's exclusive interview with Gosselin earlier this month, he expressed deep concern for Hailey's feelings and for dragging him into the media whirlwind that his life has become. "It's like taking a private citizen and throwing them onto television. Nobody wants their college pictures drudged up, especially if college is only four years ago for you. That's why it's so embattled, because it's so current," he told PopEater. "Everyone else that's come into my life has basically taken money from me, burned me in the media, said lies about me and tried to drive wedges into my relationship with my family."

Glassman did, however, turn the tables during her 'Insider' tell-all this week. She said in the interview: "He'll call me and take his anger out on me. He has 'mantrums.' I shouldn't have to put up with being emotionally abused." She went on to say that Jon is "like Jekyll and Hyde. But I still love him."

The following day, Gosselin released a statement, saying: "I am grateful for her emotional support and I regret any pain that my actions have caused her."

Teary eyed Hailey? I saw someone who was trying to be teary eyed, trying to be the victim, trying to BE ON TELEVISION. She said she had no idea about all the hype surrounding Jon and Kate's marriage...did she live in a whole. While he was staying at her house, before she said they started dating he was already all over the tabloid covers for that other ugly chic Deanna Hummel and hanging out at bars. What? She never stepped into a supermarket or was on the internet before? Give me a break Hailey and Jon....get new PR people, everytime you guys open your mouths you dig yourselves a little deeper. I do believe her though about Jon being abusive...I saw it when he was on the show with Kate even in the earlier years. He was the one playing nice in front of the camera, and on more than 1 occasion let his true side show...who knows what Kate had to deal with behind closed doors. Now she and the kids are the ones bearing the brunt of it all...Jon you should go back to "counseling" but in another country...where there are no phones, paps or people.

I've never felt they were really together. What girlfriend would have put up with all his other romances? I think the France trip was more about her wanting to push her line of whatever it was, clothes? I think she was just a smoke screen.

This is just another publicity stunt to get attention. He has a scheduled mea culpa with his new freind Rabbi Schmuley set for today. The good Rabbi is supposed to tell him that one of the main family values that he can use to raise good kids is that is not nice to publicly cheat on and flaunt numerous girlfriends in your wifes and kids face before you are divorced. I wonder if he will also tell Jon that it is not a good idea to steal from the account that feeds his children and pays for the roof over their head and lie about it on national tv. Of course, both Jon and the Rabbi are getting paid for this little life lesson and we all know that Jon sure needs the money. Poor Jon is also in danger of losing his kids and he only has a few weeks to show the judge he is a fit father. The divorce should be final at the end of November. He and Hailey will be back together by then (I think it will be as soon as he walks out of the synagogue with his paycheck) and ready to find another stunt to keep themselves in the tabloids.

Jon Gosselin complains that anyone who comes in to his life takes money from him, spreads lies, etc. Bottom line Gosselin is no one can do all these things to you unless you allow it or provide the info. Stop whining!! Hailey - run for your life!

He needs to run or drive away from her FAST. She is another ball buster like his ex. I do wonder how soon Kate will have another one like him in her life. She seems to like to dominate and ball bust the men in her life...feel sorry for their sons.......

Rumer has it that PlayGirl has offered him 1 Mill to pose for the centerfold. But he may need more hair plugs and a inlargement of his unit because he is one big Tool and has a big female fan base that want to make baby with him.

Ok, so John had some freedom and went out into the world acting like a teenager, while Kate continued on with her family (and yes I know she travels),,,,however, I have not seen her with tons of men and throwing expensive pool parties in Vegas??? These poor women he hit on, thought they were the "one",,,nope!
I have a friend like Jon. His children are hurting deeply and all he seems to care about is who he will be dating tonight. He plays on facebook??? Sad that men this age just don't get it!

Know what else Kate didn't do after her husband left her unlike what Jon did...She didn't travel to the French Rivera with a drug dealing once arrested boytoy like his girlfriend is known for dealing pot, hash and hashish oilja...Kate didn't hang out in the Hamptons with other convicted felons as her usband did with Michael Lohan, Lindsay Lohans convict father who did time for DWI, DUI and Insurance fraud, too. And Kate didn't fly out of of state to buy a very expensive NYC Manhattan apartment and a brand new expensive car to keep in Manhattan too. And get this, before Kate would have taken a birhtday cake to anyone of her children, she would have made them spell the daughters first name right unlike Jon did and later blamed it on someone else in his employ. After all they do show you the cake before they box it. And Porky the Pig of a Prince Charming is so conceited that he couldn't see the huge mistake right there in front of his diamond ear studded bloated head.

As I have said all along, Jon is showing his TRUE colors...Kate had every right to snap at him on TV, and some time treat him like a child, he's in serious NEED of growing up, she had 8 kids, she didn't need another child to deal with, I live with a idiot who don't know he's suposed to be a man, childhood is over..how can a woman respect a "man" that wouldn't grow up?
