Chris Brown's 'Graffiti' Album Cover: Five Awesomely Ridiculous Things About It
Chris Brown is slowly making his musical comeback following his assault on Rihanna and subsequent guilty plea, and he's made a big step by unveiling the cover art to his upcoming album, 'Graffiti.' Generally, we let album covers speak for themselves, but this one is just so awesomely bad (and similar to Adam Lambert's masterpiece) that we had to dive deeper and break it down. After the Jump, Our Analysis!
1. The Guitar: Unless we missed something, Chris Brown has never played the guitar in a song or on stage, so unless he's taken up a new hobby while laying low post-assault, what's with the axe here? Will the new Chris Brown shred the fretboard a la Lil Wayne? One can only hope.
2. The Bionic Hand: We'll excuse the token literal "graffiti" spraypaint can, but why the bionic hand? Brown's time travel into the future seems to have caused him to lose his painting hand at some point, which begs even more: How will he play the guitar with one hand?! Seriously, people.
3. The 'Graffiti' Font: This is where things start to look a whole lot like Adam Lambert's recent album cover, which also caused many music fans to scratch their heads and think: "Joke? Right? Really? Wow." The glam-and-outer-space similarities are uncanny, but Lambert's was intentionally cheesy, so Adam 1, Chris 0. Also, if things are going to be as cut-and-dry as "Hey, the album is called 'Graffiti' so I'm going to have a spraypaint can," why isn't the title -- which is the direct result of the spraypaint -- done in graffiti style? Keep it real, Mr. Brown.4. The Boots and Pants: Ladies and gentleman, Chris Brown is now part Ziggy Stardust, part goth. That seamline is far too tight for Brown's signature dancing brilliance, so maybe he'll be a bit more stationary ... and that would explain the guitar. Actually, it wouldn't. Nevermind on that.
5. The Cartoon Animals: We'll openly admit that there's likely a Brown-influenced reason these are there, and we simply don't know about it because we're not cool enough. However, with that said ... um, can someone explain?

I don't know what you're looking at, but I like the cover, I think its very creative. And so what if he doesn't play guitar, I don't play drums and I own a whole set. I think you all are just being petty and mean.

I so agree with you everyone deserves a second chance especially he is so young and we all make mistakes in our youth. Rhiana has her own issues and while I do not condone any form of abuse,, she had a part to play as well. As so far as Chris Brown's alblum cover there is nothing wrong with it, it's appealing more so than Rhiana's bob wire alblum cover which I actually thought was ridiculous for a woman who was recently battered to be dipicted all wrapped up naked in sharp ugly bob wire...that's pretty ridiculous!

What is with all of these people judging and hating on Chris Brown. I've said it once and I'll say it again, we all lie in glass houses and we shouldn't throw stones. He did what he did, he admitted it, now it's time to move on, and allow him to do what he loves. Why boycott his music? Love the album cover and the new song. HOLD YO HEAD UP CHRIS!!!!!

Love this album cover. I just wanna know why this "journalist" has nothing better to do w/ their life other than dissect an album cover. I've seen much crazier than this. it's futuristic. Love the new song too.

The journalist that would do this is a journalist that was paid to do so. Overall, Chris looks attractive and according to the Chris Browner's out there they STILL like the man and his music.
Rihanna has no audience now. She isolated the young people who rightfully believe that she had a part in the violence. In addition, who would place an album in their young persons Christmas/Hanukkah stocking called "Russian Roulette"? NOBODY!
Her interview is a last ditch effort to save her flailing career. In her interview she should have stated "I was beating the heck out of Chris Brown when he struck me to get me off of him". In addition, she should say "No, Diane. It is not the first time that I had beaten him. Before, he just took it and never hit me back."
The victim role didn't work then and it won't work now.
THE TRUTH SHOULD BE TOLD BY YOU. If you loved him you would have NEVER left him to suffer alone, whilst consequently trying to set him up for imprisonment.
Good Job Chris Brown
After you get yourself back on a productive track hopefully you will find a loving and supporting relationship where abuse isn't an issue for either person involved!

OKAY NOW, I LOVE THE LOOK FOR THE COVER. HOWEVER, YOU PEOPLE NEED TO LET IT GO. YES HE HIT RIHANNA, BUT AT THE SAME TIME NEITHER OF US WERE THERE, SO WHY JUST TRY TO BAN HIM. I'M A FAN OF THE BOTH OF THEM AND I FEEL LIKE THAT DUDE MAY HAVE BEEN DEFENDING HIMSELF. YOU ALL HAVE HEARD SOME OF RIHANNA'S SONGS AND HEY, SHE'S NOT ALL THAT INNOCENT. LISTEN TO BREAKING DISHES AND THE ONE ABOUT GOING TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM. WTF? CUT CHRIS SOME DAMN SLACK, THERE ARE PLENTY OF WOMEN OUT HERE BEING BEATEN, SO WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL. IS IT BECAUSE HE'S A STAR? I BET HE ISN'T THE ONLY MAN IN THE ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS THAT HAS HIT HIS WIFE OR GIRLFRIEND. CHRIS BROWN IS GONNA FOREVER ROCK WETHER HE HAS 5 FANS OR TWO

First off, Rhihanna is not a real person! She is an android created by the music industry to somewhat sing hypnotize and separate us from our money! Lady Gaga is one and Adam Lambert too. We're being programmed to like them.

It's nice that none of you have been victims of physical abuse by a "man" otherwise you wouldn't be sticking up for this worthless piece of crap. Good luck with your comeback CB but don't expect it to be easy you lost a lot of fans including me. Maybe you and Kanye can hook up and try to figure out a way to get back in everyones good graces it would take a miracle

I am not and never was a fan of CB. I still think the article about the cover is weak and pointless. It is a good cover. As for the abuse...really both parties are practically kid...they were two kids fighting. He was wrong for hitting her BACK. If everyone on earth were forever judged by their worst mistake we would all be guilty...with no room to judge anyone else.

SORRY LORI, BUT WITH YOU OR WITHOUT YOU CHRIS BROWN WILL HAVE FANS. REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT A WOMAN HAS BEEN ABUSED, WE ALL KNOW THAT WOMEN HAVE A PLACE AND SHOULD KNOW THEIR PLACE IN A RELATIONSHIP. WOMEN SHOULD ALSO KNOW THE CONSEQUENCES BEHIND HITTING A MAN. I KNOW THAT IF YOU HIT A MAN YOU BETTER KNOW HE'S GONNA HIT BACK, WHETHER IT'S INTENTIONALLY OR BY REFLEX. SO THEREFORE, IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR ASS BEAT, DON'T HIT A MAN

Actually, I have been a victim of physical abuse by a so called man.. and I am still a fan of Chris Brown and not of Rihanna. I don't think he was right to hit her back, but she shouldn't have hit him if she couldn't handle the repercussions. But I do agree with you regarding Kanye West! Never been a fan of his.....

According to the report, she physically abused him first. Just because he's a man doesn't mean he doesn't have a right to fight back. Unfortunately, that's the way our society works.
