Jessica Calls Ashlee's Old Show 'Crap'

Looking to defend her recently fired little sister Ashlee, Jessica Simpson unleashed the fury on 'Melrose Place,' calling her sister's ex-show "crap" on Twitter.

Jessica -- who just two days before Ashlee's firing wrote "Everyone watch my sis on melrose place tonight," -- now rips into the show following Ashlee's dismissal. "CW catching up on MP. who writes this crap? i have had bad scripts to work with, but this? thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press," Jessica Tweeted.

Ashlee was fired along with 'Melrose' co-star Colin Egglesfield on Oct. 22. Show producer Todd Slavin told EW's Michael Ausiello that "the tone of the show was going to shift into a much more fun, romantic, sexy upbeat kind of show," and that Simpson's character didn't fit into those plans anymore.

Us Weekly, citing a set insider, claims that The CW "hired her [Ashlee] because they needed a good name to help create buzz."

While Ashlee is much more acting focused than music-driven these days, she still has plenty to keep her busy, as baby Bronx is just shy of a year-old.

I gonna have agree with Jessica on this one. MP is garbage. Hopefully the "new direction" will be a much needed improvement.

Agree. I gave gave it 2 episodes, haven't watched it since. I only story line that had an interesting story line was the hooker doctor.

MP isn't garbage Gigi which is a lie. Melrose Place is a pretty good show it gets better with each EP Yasmin you didn't give the show a chance storylines have been pretty good for everyone they have interesting storys. Jessica is wrong MP isn't crap so I disagree with her and the only reason she is talking smack about Melrose is because Ashlee got fired.

I'm getting excited for the return of Healther Lockear as Amanda in 12 days.

Well Jessica it takes crap to know crap, and her whole career is crap. That is why I am not going to waste my time watching her reality show, I know it will be crap

Jessica Simpson is wrong Melrose Place isn't crap she's just mad that Melrose fired Ashlee so she is slamming the show. Just like everyone that think MP is garbage or crap your wrong and you don't what your talking Melrose Place is a pretty good show.
