Kate Gosselin Not Proud of How She Treated Jon

Kate Gosselin opens in a one-hour interview 'Kate: Her Story' on TLC where "no topics will be off limits" (via Today Show). In the chat with Natalie Morales, Kate apologized for how she treated Jon.

"I was very hard on him and I would never deny that," she says, EOnline.com reports.

"I was wrong to treat him that way. Was it good, healthy and wonderful? No. Am I proud of those moments that were captured? No."

"I still wake up every day, and I think the phone will ring and it'll be the old Jon," she explained.

She also revealed she can't sleep at night because there's no one she can trust. "People leave your house and tell completely different stories." She admits people she trusted have "cashed her in" including estranged husband.

While she admitted she's trying to deal with the divorce, she isn't getting much sleep. With all the tabloid headlines, she doesn't even know what's real anymore. "I am awake in the middle of the night thinking, 'Am I making the best decision?'"

Kate's breaking point in the marriage happened after Jon went public with allegations of an affair with their bodyguard Steve Neild. Kate has denied the affair. She said Neild and his wife are on the short list of people she actually trusts.

"So unthinkable to me that to have to think about it makes me sick," Kate said of the affair rumors.

The Gosselins' divorce will be finalized by the end of the year, and Kate is looking forward to 2010 and hoping for a new start.

The interview also deals with Jon Gosselin's open discussion with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach in which he talks about his relationships with estranged wife Kate and girlfriend Hailey Glassman. "It's hard for a man to stay home for two years, change diapers, make meals and deal with doctor's appointments and all the stuff you expect your wife to do," he said.

But Kate doesn't talk about Jon's personal life with him. "We do [talk] where it relates to the kids...As far as dating goes, I've never, ever broached the subject with him as far as anything I've ever read, seen or heard."

Kate said the kids are her main priority right now because they've been starting to act out and even become more introverted since the divorce went public and 'Jon and Kate Plus 8' went into hiatus from filming.

"We can't turn life off...I can't turn life off. In the last nine, 10 months, it's gotten really crazy and I can't seem to get away from it at this point. My goal in all this is I just want peace for my kids."

There are alot of men that stay home and take care of things while the wife works.Why is that an excuse for Jon to have many affairs? Jon needs to grow up and really think of his kids. Let them go on with the show, you can see the kids get along with the crew.

Jon, just when I was feeling a little compassion for you, you open your mouth and say "I stayed home two years and ..... just what a mother is suppose to do." Well welcome to the 21st century, where men and women have duel roles. You should just go to your fantasy place in NY and keep your mouth closed. Kate, you did right getting rid of this one. Jon, religion hasn't worked. Try closing your mouth.

What an a__ Jon is!!! I used to put more blame on Kate, but Jon is showing his true colors. He makes it sound like taking care of his kids was a burden. It is your responsibility, not just Kate's. So what if you had to stay home and do what you're supposed to do as a parent. What a cry baby - immature and whiny!

If "Kate" is really so friggin' concerned with her kids, and she feels that she can't trust anybody, maybe she should just... you know, get a job, quit playing hide and seek with the media, and live a normal life. Her story sells because she's constantly airing her dirty laundry on TV. If she'd just shut up for a few months, stay out of the limelight, nobody would care anymore, and she could go on with her life. She's pathetic; almost as pathetic as that dirtbag husband of hers.

This is so typical of getting a divorce. Jon is having the time of his life in the south of France, Hollywood etc while mom is home with the kids. Her book tour is to sell books and make money for the family not flying around and having a good time. It is so so immature to think having kids will not change ones's life because it does. Only one child makes a difference within a family imagine six at a time. If both agreed to this then Jon needs to stop his complaining and work out a solution with the mother of his children instead of screwing around. He had his affair because he chose to have it. No one put a gun to his head to force him. Anyone who has gone through a divorce with children will understand.

You went to college and got a nursing degree...you have been "blessed" with 8 children; even though you chose to have children. You have had so many things given to you or your story. I think it is time for America to stop giving to you as there are a lot of people out there having to give their kids to foster care because they cannot afford to feed them properly.All you do is cry and *itch about what things you need or how bad you have it. You are nothing but a spoiled child and I am afraid the tv has made you that way. Get off your *ss and get back into nursing...hire a babysitter like the rest of us. Lets be grown up here NURSE KATE.BTW..I need a new house in Florida and I;m in an electric chair...is all I have to do is cry on national tv to get it? wow! I didn't know that!
