Did Kevin Spacey Get Waiter Fired?

Waiter Peter Turner claims he was fired from his job after he was instructed by his boss to tell Kevin Spacey that he had to stop smoking because it was a violation of state law. According to RadarOnline, Turner approached the group with the request, and the actor allegedly went ballistic, screaming, "You're an aggressive prick." Three days later, Turner was "laid off."

The incident allegedly occurred back in June at Clarke Cooke House in Newport, Rhode Island. Turner said he initially made a joke to the smokers, saying: "You're not allowed to smoke in here unless you're on fire."

But the Oscar-winning actor wasn't amused and allegedly exploded in anger. "I need you to get the f*** away from my table," Spacey said.

Turner told his boss about the incident and was told "If the owner knew you pissed off Kevin Spacey, he'd have me fire you."

Three days later, Turner was "laid-off" from his job, but a replacement was hired for his position. The lay off has been a huge financial strain for Turner, who is working part-time as a caterer. "I was banking on making somewhere between $12,000 and $18,000. That's basically what I am out because someone thought that they were more privileged than anyone else," he said.

In Our opinion Kevin Spacey seemed cool, but now that we hear about this episode we think he is ignorant and overweight and must think he is God's Gift to the World!!!

So, I guess OLD MAN Spacey thinks he is better than the rest of the people...NOT! And I might add, Kevin Spacey is not aging gracefully or handsomely...He is looking haggard and overweight. He should have NEVER been so IGNORANT...to get a kid fired. Kevin had the attitude, THE KID WAS JUST DOING HIS JOB.

Since hearing about this, one thing for sure is this (We will NEVER) SEE ANOTHER MOVIE THAT HE IS IN. God don't like UGLY.....and this is an UGLY MAN to act as thought he is better than the rest of the world and to get obnoxious to someone that was just doing his job.

Two thumbs DOWN for Kevin Spacey and his movies...washed up, going, going GONE! Oh well.....their are many, many good actors out there who have great parts in movies. We will never go to see another movie in which Kevin is in. Never again!

THIS STORY IS NONSENSE. THE GUY IS TRYING TO MAKE MONEY OFF OF MR. SPACEY.

Kevin Spacey (ya blew it).......! You are NOT getting another penny from people that use to like you as an actor. Kevin, you should BUY this kid a restaurant now.....!And a car, and a house.....!

I know these types of incidents happen al the time with celebhs, but I have met Kein Spacey twice, and both times he was nothing but a class act. Very much the gracious gentleman to others. therefore, I hope this story is not correct.

Don't be too quick to judge the waiter. I know from personal experience how arrogant smokers can get when they are denied. I was at a filming where a star used his influence and his security staff to prevent a Mandalay Bay securityofficer from enforcing the no smoking rule.
Some people might be star struck but we are not all star dum! Most rules don't apply to them and they know it.

I don't believe that Kevin Spacey would be so rude. Firstly, everyone knows that it is illegal to smoke in restaurants and bars.

My only comment is that perhaps if the story is true maybe the waiter if Mr. Spacey were smoking approached him inapproriately or was rude.

Restaurant workers are notorious for their short lived jobs and move constantly from places due to the public interactions and the poor salaries and benefits so this worker can easily blame someone other than himself for his misfortune.

Kevin Spacey's behavior is inexcusable. I will say anti smoking policies have gone too far. Bans on smoking in airports, aboard public transportation, libraries and other places make sense but I usually draw the line with bans at restaurants and bars. Owner's should decide wether or not too have a smoking section in their establishment and the laws should support the owner's decision. The server should get his job back. He was following the instructions of a superior. But, maybe, this is a chance for him to find a somewhere better. I am not sure I would return to an employer so fast to fire.

I think Kevin Spacy is a jerk. If he was smoking and he wasn't suppose to I would have call the owner of the resturant and the police and had him thrown out. He is no different then anyone else.I've never seen any of his films nor do I want to.
