In her first interview since her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown attacked her the night before the Grammys, Rihanna opens up to Diane Sawyer about the incident in an interview that will air on 'Good Morning America' and '20/20' later this week, PEOPLE reports.
"This happened to me. ... It can happen to anyone," the 'Umbrella' hitmaker says.
Rihanna explains that dealing with the aftermath was hard because of her feelings for Brown. "He was definitely my first big love."
Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault and was sentenced to probation and community service. He must also stay 100 yards away from his former girlfriend.

Bob people like you truly amaze me, obviously you have no idea what you are talking about, because he did knock the holy crapt out of her, leaving her with bruises all over her body, bite marks and two contusions in the head. When she was takin to the hospital she was unreconisable. And as far as a publicity stunt goes she had to cancel several apperances and concerts because the damage he had done to her face. So yes A** holes like your self who thinks it's ok to do this to women and say i'm sorry is goin to make it better have another thing coming. So take your head out of your a** and keep stupid and ignorant comments to your self
It is amazing that even with a serious story about domestic abuse the a**holes still spam the comments with their advertisements. Some decorum would be nice.
The girl was brusied and bloody..and NOTHING condones that behavior. He got away with it by whimpering and using his press savvy. He should have had more than community service. Any one who beats on the one they supposedly love needs to be punished!
The response you are getting must have been exactly what you were looking for. You must be one of those people that makes comments just to see how much response you will get. You can't seriously mean what you said. If so you too must be just like Chris Brown; an abuser. Yoi are an ass
I dont feel sorry for Rihanna or Chris...On many different occassions Rihanna put her hands on Chris, and thought that that was okay...Yes he should have got out of the relationship before it came to blows, but male/female should never put there hands on anyone...Period point blank...She too deserved community service, so that they both know that they were in the wrong...Good Day!
Wow! Im suprised at how people bash someone because of their opinoin.I agree with Bob hell nobody knows what Rihanna did! So you cant put all the blame on Chris it takes two to tango. I dont agree with Chris's actions but heck I dont know if Rihanna put her hands on him. Ya'll make seem like there are not woman beaters out there too! Welcome to the real world Men beat on Women, Women beat on Men!He made a mistake and I bet hell i know he has to pay for everday! And hell secertly Rihannas paying for it too! Give the boy a break!
