Gandolfini Pops a Pap on Halloween

It was a rough Halloween for one photographer who tried filming actor James Gandolfini and his son, as the burly 'Sopranos' star lashed out and was caught on video lunging at the paparazzo and possibly punching him. In the video posted on The Huffington Post, Gandolfini is seen standing outside of a New York City store waiting for his son. Apparently unhappy with the fact that he was being followed and filmed by the paparazzo, Gandolfini quickly makes his way towards the photographer. "Relax, man," the photog pleads ... but that didn't happen.

George Clooney is taking his fight against the paparazzi to court, suing a photographer and two Italian magazines for bedroom photos taken of a 13-year-old who was a houseguest at the Oscar-winner's Italian villa.

Jude Law is accused of deliberately hitting a female photographer outside a restaurant in the early hours of July 23. "He hit me full on the face, it was a real stinger," says Harsha Gopal, who is considering legal action against the actor. He claims he was blinded by all the flashes and hit her accidentally.

In June of 2008, 'Dancing With the Stars' contestant Steve Guttenberg was in no mood to be photographed while on a jog, grabbing the camera from a paparazzo and threatening to punch him. According to the photo agency Bauer-Griffin, Guttenberg was "was munching on a banana after a jog" when he "suddenly became wildly angry, motioning to punch a photographer and grabbing at a videographer's camera."

Hugh Grant kicked a TMZ photographer in the groin while he was leaving The Waverly Inn in New York. But this isn't his first paparazzi "run in." In April 2007, Grant hurled a container of baked beans at a photographer lurking outside his home. According to the paparazzo, Grant left him "bruised, battered" and covered in the saucy legumes. The 'Bridget Jones' actor was arrested but never charged.

Hayden Panettiere lost her cool with paparazzi on the red carpet at a fundraiser in Honolulu. One reporter tried to get Panettiere's attention and touched her shoulder. Panettiere turned around and screamed, "Don't you ever touch me!" Before going inside, the 'Heroes' star snapped, "You all make my life miserable."

"We need to make a distinction between people who photograph celebrities at events and people who climb over your wall wearing camouflage and calling out your kids names as you take them to school so they'll look that way," Brad Pitt tells Ann Curry of the 'Today Show'. Gandolfini is then heard telling the man "Get the f--- away from me, you understand me?" The photographer replies "Yeah, just relax." Gandolfini, not happy with the response, punches either the camera or photographer -- as it's hard to tell because the video is out of frame.

He then tells the photographer "I'm gonna break your f----ng face."

In the background, a woman -- apparently Gandolfini's wife -- is heard yelling "Get away from my son!"

No charges have been filed by the photographer as of this moment.

This wouldn't be the first time the Emmy-winning actor has found himself in a paparazzi scuffle. Back in April, he was caught on tape twice shoving a photographer outside of a posh New York City restaurant.

I used to buy people magazine until I found out most of their pictures came from the paparazzi, not I no longer buy it. I think actors should be allowed to taser those morons holding cameras! (aka paparazzi) When one of them gets punched I cheer for the person who did it. We should all stop buying those gossip rag magazines and trash papers.

What i got from that clip and remember I'm a fan is that the photographer was trying to get a picture of his mom and sister next to Gandolfini. He gets pissed, the mom and sister or wife was trying to protect the photographer. He was not a professional photographer just a fan catching his idol in a very crappy mood.

Hear me out now. Paparazzi season. I'm thinking maybe August 1st through February 1st. Celebrities will be allowed to buy tags for $50.00- each limit 300 tags per celeb. They can then harvest paparazzi buy firearm, knife, long bow, or bludgeon. I think things will improve quickly and traffic in LA will improve.

Every single Paparazzi deserves to get hit simply due to the fact that they don't respect other peoples space.

I am sure if the celebs started stalking the paparazzi's they would not appreciate it either.

Paparazzi deserve what they get. Every parent wants to protect their children and the photgraphers deliberately try to exploit the situation. Mosty of them are degenetrate criminals and perverts who deserve to suffer beatings or worse.

Dude, Gandolfini is such a fat-ass loser! He's done nothing since "sopranos" and probably never will. The only parts he's good at, is playing seriously out-of-shape mob bosses, and he doesnt even have that any more. He better be thanking his next 5-gallon bucket of spaghetti that there is actually someone that wants to photograph his beff-eating behind. HAHA! and now his dog-ugly wife is heard barking in the background saying "get away from my son" Damn lady, he was no-where near your son, he was in his own space filming until fat-boy wanted to get tough. i wish James pork-chopfini would try to break my face...He would catch a serious beatdown
