PopEater hit the red carpet for the premiere of the upcoming disaster flick, '2012' last night in downtown Los Angeles. The film refers, of course, to the ancient Mayan calendar that ends on December 21st of that year. There are all sorts of theories about the prophecy, from mass destruction to a giant shift in global consciousness. Everyone has a different idea about what's going to happen...or if anything is going to happen at all. We asked everyone whether or not they were preparing for the worst. '2012' Stars On Doomsday Prophecies
Here's what they told us.Executive producer Mark Gordon, who made another little disaster film you may remember, 'The Day After Tomorrow' told us, "I never really paid much attention to it. Both because it's been so long since I first heard about it, and also, I don't generally take these things too seriously because there's nothing we can do. So we might as well enjoy our lives and move on." He also told us his favorite city to blow up in films is his hometown, good old NYC.
Johann Urb, who plays Sasha (the poor pilot who has to deal with the bratty Oligarch's kids) and also stars as Will St. David on 'Eastwick' thinks it's all about our minds. "End of the world? No, I think it's...I can't say no. I think it's possible, but I think there's going to be hopefully some sort of shift in consciousness instead, which I think that we desperately need as a human race to survive."
Star John Cusack agrees. "I think it's more like a shift in consciousness."
Chin Han, who plays Tenzin didn't say whether or not he believed in the prophecy, but he did say the timing would be bad. He joked, "I would be very disappointed after having done these two big movies, and continuing to receive residuals on them, I would be very disappointed that the world would end in 2012."
The kids got in on it too. Twins Alex and Philippe Haussman, who play bratty, privileged children of a Russian oligarch in the film, told us that they'd either build a bunker or "just run...just keep running" if it happened. When I asked them if they actually believed it, Philippe said, "No, I mean the end of the world has been predicted a whole bunch of times throughout the history of mankind. We don't know whether the world is going to end or not. It's possible, but we just can't be sure." Alex added, "The would could end in 2012, and it could also end tomorrow.
Thirteen-year-old Liam James, who plays John Cusack and Amanda Peet's son in the film was a little more freaked out. "I have my doubts about it," he said, "but at the same time, it's pretty scary."
Director Roland Emmerich isn't quite sure. "It's like this thing where you read one book and you get really scared, and you read another book and, oh, this is all wrong. It will be a rise of consciousness. There are so many theories out there. But I kind of am amazed how big of a deal it is for people. And I always like to tie my movies into something like that."
Do you believe in the prophecy? Have you started building your bunker? Or is the world going to join hands and sing like we're all in a Coke commercial? Let us know what you think!

Jesus said in John 8:7 .............He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
Do you NOT have sin in your life?? You are in no position to judge people!!

Save your money. The producers are intellectual and moral cowards. They destroy the Vatican and our nations capital but purposely stayed away from mosques. They were afraid that the muzzies would cut their heads off.
Cheers!

Would you want someone in a turban issuing a Fatwa against you. For better or worse Most Christians and Americans are far more tolerant. Besides the two buildings are worldwide Icons which everyone recognizes.

it's a part of a preparation of what is to come - soon, very soon - the real story is Hollywood never let's out the real truth, it's always borrowed and reworked. If you take Mel Gibson's film, Apocalypto! however that's spelled, he states "civilizations fall from within." If you take a look at our society - vulnerable and fragil, we're not that that far from a total collapse.

Hollywood has a long history of knowing where their money comes from. Movies like "Bridge Over the River Kwai" are pure and simple propaganda, as was Blackhawk Down. Washington asks for this type dis-information because it polarizes people who do no research and accept Hollywood's and Washington's version of everything.

Oh, I totally believe in the Mayan calendar about 2012! Of course, when I have a dentist appointment to remember, I don't write the date on the Mayan calendar. And come to think of it, I have no idea when other stuff is supposed to happen according to the Mayans. But 2012? Alls I know is if we don't elect Sarah Palin president, all heck is gonna break loose!

If people wouldn't "sheepishly" accept the crap touted by idiots and the MSM, and go directly to the sources (i.e. MAYANS, NOT so-called "scientists" or "scholars"), they would NOT listen to the idiots carrying on about 2012! See the movie if you want to see a FANTASY disaster movie. But DO NOT accept that doh-wood knows anything (and that includes the "celebs" who think they know it all). How many of you were aware that the Mayan calendar does NOT stop with this so-called prophecy? They literally have other "writings" dated thousands of years PAST 2012! And the Mayans will tell you this is all foolishness and to stop co-opting their culture for all this crap!

Just take a look at all these ignorant comments and ask yourself if we aren't ready for the end times, we are a very sad people who have failed in almost everything, it wouldn't surprise me if the end times actually happen

The earth is on top of the suns equater now
on12/21/12 the earth will be directly on the suns equator
the suns gravitational pull is at its strongest @ its equator
solar burst from the sun will also be at its strongest
from samples collected on from the moons surface traces of glass were found it is theory that the traces of glass came from a solar blast from the sun causing such an intence heat the moon dust was turned to glass
such a thing could happen to earth and would be devistating
not to be exact but the earth aligns with the suns eguator every 100,000 years or so
theory is said that another thing that could happen is that the earth could swith on its axis point which is speculated to have happened before where as the north pole use to be said to have been on the earths equator>>???

My calendar ends on December 31, 2009!!!!!! It must be the end of the world!!!!! Horsefeathers,...even the Mayans say the end of the world interpretation of their calendar is bullsh*t!.
If this croc from Hollywood has anybody thinking about building a bunker, you are obviously too impressionable to watch TV without an adult present.
