Rhianna is no role model for young girls, all this is for her personal gain.. She sounded very well rehearsed. I don't say what Chris did was right not by a long shot but he is 19 and there is lots of time for him to grown up be a man and learn from this. Rhianna is no angel from her own mouth I believe her pictures were worst than what she really was. Her skin stone is so light if she was just pinched would show a horrible bruise people get real, I feel most of us should know that because of her color that she would look as if she was drugged on the back of an automobile from one slap ( that's not to say I know how many slaps or bites there were). She hit him first but she is no longer talking about that fact. If a woman makes a fist and punches a man in the side of the head she deserves to be hit back. Any woman dumb enough to hit a man the same way another man would hit him is asking to get punched. She is talking now because she wants publicity for her album, that is so obvious. More evidence that her album is the only motivation behind the interviews is the fact that she went back to him after the incident more than once.

Now before I get bashed for not having sympathy for abused women, I was abused by my ex husband. The final incident he hit me with a hammer and choked me.Had his mom not shown up at our house and dial 911 I may not be alive today. The difference that Rhianna's "abuse" began with her abusing him by hitting him. Many women and men who are abused by a significant other, like myself, never did anything to physically harm our abuser. I didn't stay with him because of the abuse and got out rather early compared to most abused women or men. I never would have taken him back or tried to work things out because the violence was never provoked.

I don't agree with the idea that abuse is ever justified because of verbal provocation. That is a very weak excuse and if a person has that little self control they will have much larger problems if it is not fixed. Rhianna is one of those that get angry at a verbal assault and become violent. They both should have gone to jail that night and both should be doing community service and on probation!

I'm so glad she's speaking out to help inform ignorant ppl what it's like to be abused. Yes she semi-reunited w/ him after the attack..... but then you'd have to have a clue about the psychology of abuse to understand why. Most likely physical abuse was not the only abuse but also emotional & verbal. When it happens to you, most of us are so shocked that someone we love & trust would suddenly & brutally (whether physically or emotionally) turn on us & try to hurt us, but that is exactly what happens. Why? I suppose the abuser is psychotic & it's not possible to reason w/ a psycho. They make the victim feel it's her/his fault, & they're masters at manipulation & cunning, the victim who only wants to love them, is lost & put in a position to try & try & try. The abuser gives just enough to keep the victim HOPEFUL. The abuser tears down the victim's self esteem to the point, she's lost & depressed & if he's had his way, she's lost all friends becoz he wants to control her & have noone else influence her. It's all far more complicated than some of you have any idea about. Poor Rhianna & bless her heart for taking a stand about that which many of you would rather not hear about. TOO BAD isnt it becoz you've heard it anyway!!!!!!!!! And if it happens to YOU or someone you love, you'll see it all in a whole different lite.

No one can say I don't empathize with Rehinna. I am a survivor of long term physical and sexual battery while in the Army and then again at the hands of the man I married in a rush to get out of the barracks where that abuse was taking place. I am in a far better place now, and it does take work to get there, but keeping it the press is not doing either one of these young people any good. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. It's beginning to look like they're both just using the event as a great big publicity ploy. "Any press is good press", right? If they were serious about healing they'd both shut up and start doing the WORK entailed in doing so. We don't need to hear all the salacious details every time we turn on the TV or pc. That's just exploitation.

Ok I'm sorry RiRi got into this, but she is a dirty lil witch...she is trying to make a nice man into a monster. Ok what these journalist need to do is find some of Chris Browns ex's and ask them if he beats on women, and ask Poor lil RiRi has he hit her in the past (I bet you on both ends it would be no). See this is my understanding of abusive men: they don't start at twenty years old beating on girls friends, they don't wait years into a relationship, and it will never be a one time thing (so Oprah take that in your pipe and smoke it, if he was such the monster she is telling the world he is, then she would have more than one story of abuse, she's a snake...and I can see her crawling), and abusive men don't have the shame this young man has. See my theory on this whole thing was...she seen this young man that had a better career than hers, thought she could attach herself to the good guy and get more going for herself, but that didn't work so she got sick of this lilly white azz good boy and ticked his azz off for POParazzi, but instead her plan back fired, little good boy had a breaking point and somehow she managed to push those buttons and got her azz whipped...and she's like f it I'll take that to make my name bigger, and don't care what she's doing to Chris Brown, cause she never gave a damn about him in the first place, she knows that man is not the monster she's putting him out to be, she knows she not a real battered woman, she's a snake! It is so sad that people feel the need that it is always some how the fault of the domestic violence victim that what happenned 2 them they portrayed a role in it...No 1...absolutely no 1 has the right to inflict bodily harm on another person because they don't like what the other person has said or done....i am a 56 yr old man who has limited use of my right hand because my wife decided she didn't like what i said and grabbed a butchers knife and tried 2 kill me and i grabbed the blade of that knife 2 prevent her from doing so...yes i have no use of my thumb that was nearly severed but i have my life...as a father..a son ..and a brother i have no respect 4 any man who feels its ok to hit a woman....there is no way this all should be chalked up to the excuse that "well he was young he didn't know what he was doing"...right is right and wrong is wrong no matter who does it...

I agree that men should not hit women, but lets be realist as this situation has went on long enough, there is two sides to the story and I'm sure she is not as innocent as she is trying to let on. Everyone acts if this was an on going thing this was a situation a one time occurance that got out of hand. If the shoe was on the other foot and he got out of the car with the burse would everyone being tring to ruin her. No. She is leaving out some of the story. And I consider her less than a women when she is acting as though she did not play apart. Violents is not the answer, using the situation as a example as domestic violents is outrages. You have two young adults in the lime light who situation took a wrong turn. Is wrong it went that way. Yes. Is it wrong that we continue to focus on this young man's mistake. Yes. There are other stars who have done far wrost things then him and they continue to get our support. Instead of man banishing how about teaching both parties that any violients agains one another is wrong. How about tell women that you are not off the hook and that if you hit and abuse men you are just as wrong.

Shame on you America!! So many mean spirited people here (for sure Chris fan). More reason why Chris should not be on GMA show next week. Rihanna was a very unfortunate woman who was physically abused by her boyfriend and it was on the news everywhere around the world. What a humiliating experience to face this at such an young age. We, the parents needs to spend more time to better educate our children at home.
