Australian music critics have greeted Britney Spears on her first concert tour down under with poor reviews and stories of fans walking out of her show. On top of that, government officials have been critical of the singer for her use of lip-syncing during performances. All the criticism has traumatized Spears."Britney is aware of all this and she's extremely upset by it," Paul Dainty, Spears' tour promoter, told The Australian on Monday. "She's a human being. I'm embarrassed, with such a big international entourage here with Britney, to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting."

Zero talent ho - never could sing a single note. She needs to go crawl back under the rock she came from and stop promoting casual sex to our youth. Well, it's nobody's fault but hers. She ruined her reputation with her previous wild anti. She lost my respect in the same way as Tom Cruise lost mine, too. I think the celebrities need to understand that this society demand proper behavior. Lohan Lindsay is another example. I could not believe what she did to herself when she had lip surgery. She WAS beautiful, but now she is NOT. Unbelievable. I guess people made bad decisions. Oh, well. Oh, well.

Britney lip synching is not new news. The point in Australia is that someone actually is making her confess to this mockery. Britney is all studio work, so okay a lot of her fans are okay with that but many arrive at the concert expecting something a little more live than a lip-synched re-enactment of her music videos'. This type of performance was first "outed" with Electric Light Orchestra in the 1970's and has persisted through Milli Vanilli, Janet Jackson and even the 'King of Pop', Michael Jackson. I actually like a lot of Ms. Spears studio work and the various re-mixes however I don't expect her to be able to reproduce this live nor do I expect a fluid world class dance routine in concert. Britney practically sleepwalks through her performances while bring a new meaning to the world stiff professionalism. Madonna, Judy Garland, Sammy Davis, Beyonce, Usher, Steven Tyler, David Lee Roth, she ain't. But we all know this, right? All you haters, rest assured that to many of her young fans this performance is a wake up call to seek out real live music from more inspired performing artist in the future.

Madonna in the same class as Sammy Davis Jr., or Judy Garland or even Beyonce? She's on the same level as Britanny js but a better business person- she knew how to package herself longer - re-invention. Her antics were just as wild and inappropriate.
Madonna has has her issues but she's still fit and on top of her game at 51!!!! I doubt we'll be saying the same thing about Spears at that age.
Britney hasn't a clue about anything having to do with cultures or ordinary fans. Its ALL about her. Aussies aren't like us here- fake. They're down-to-earther's who don't take likely to cheap tricks and double talk (aka lipsynch). I'd have walked out too. I have friends and families in Australia who think the Americans are show offs and that they are (Australia) is better than USA. A jealous bunch, they are. Ya'all hav a gudday now ya hear.

I'm going to defend Britney on this because she's a human being and I love her. You all sit on here and talk trash because you have nothing to know with your wasteful lives. She obviously does not sing at her shows, because she's not known for her singing you idiots. She's known as a performer.

It is pretty amazing that people were paying up to $1,500.00 to see this. This gig was always a studio creation with dubs, lip syncing and so forth. When she attempts to venture out of the studion this is what happens

It seems to me that if anyone is taking the time to to do anything that's a waste of everyones time it's you. I would look long and hard in the mirror before I start spewing about anyone being a waste of human DNA if I were you. I am not a fan of Spears but, what she is doing on stage is no different than most pop acts these days who have to do a complete package on stage as well as sing. If you want perfection go look at videos or go on the stage yourself you twit.

WE have all known since DAY ONE of Spears career that she lip syncs at her shows,as does many tween stars nowadays.
These "fans" who paid $200+ per tickect got exactley what they deserve!
Although she is pretty and pretty sexy (in her best days) Britteny has never been able to sing.I wonder how many more hundreds of people would have "stormed out" of the concert if they heard her REALLY sing! I don't think anyone would be left in the arena! IT's BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took my daughter for her birthday to go see her concert in las vegas and we paid more than 200 dollars per person/per ticket! This was the BIGGEST waste of money ever!!!! I know this is chump change for her, but as a single parent this was a very expensive birthday gift for me! She lip synced the whole concert and only took enough energy to utter the words "what's up vegas" to her fans the whole night!! I definitely wish we could get out money back!!!! We used to like her, but I feel angry at the fact that she would take advantage of her fans this way and put out such a piss poor performance! I hope you (britney) make the most of my money, because it's the last you will ever see!!!! Guess we were the only chumps here!

Lots of singers lip-sync during concerts. You either get the awesome dancing or you get awesome singing. Trying singing while doing some of that dancing. You get out of breath and the singing wouldn't sound right. People need to get over it. Australlia, Britney has been through enough. Leave her alone. Maybe she should have never gone to Australlia. Maybe she should never go back... she has BILLIONS of fans elsewhere.
