Australian music critics have greeted Britney Spears on her first concert tour down under with poor reviews and stories of fans walking out of her show. On top of that, government officials have been critical of the singer for her use of lip-syncing during performances. All the criticism has traumatized Spears."Britney is aware of all this and she's extremely upset by it," Paul Dainty, Spears' tour promoter, told The Australian on Monday. "She's a human being. I'm embarrassed, with such a big international entourage here with Britney, to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting."

She actually has talent as an actress and her singing days are numbered. Her recordings are repaired in studio and live she is aweful.
Her dancing is OK but not much considering she lost her hot little teen bod.

drunknhines: I saw Beyonce in concert about two years ago, and she sang 100% live the WHOLE time, to the music of her live on-stage band, all while doing insanely intricate choreography and wearing 4 inch stilettos. It was undoubtedly the most amazing live performance I have ever seen. If you have the actual talent as she does, it can be done.

its OK to lip sync if people are made aware of that but to pay 20 or more for a ticket and to get ls is miss representation,I would be upset as well.To say Britt is a performer not know as a singer is garbage,shes a singer on her c-ds and live she is a performer and expected to sing unless stated otherwise.

Britney's music is not my cup of tea, so I won't bother commenting on that. What I find disturbing is the mean-spirited nature of many people commenting on her. There are people in this world doing far worse things to humanity than Britney Spears, but they get away with it because people are too busy worrying about Britney Spears, or other silly distractions. Stop concerning yourselves with whether or not Britney Spears is singing, and start concerning yourselves with the puppet-masters who are dragging you through the mud of history.

At least Britney gives her audience something to look at. Try picking on that Taylor Swift who I think has no talent and thinks she's a princess with a hunched over back. It's amazing how far long legs and blonde hair will carry you.

What she is lip syncing? Oh my goodness! Hello...she has just been doing that her whole career and isn't the only one performer who does that at their shows. Not a fan but this is really a huge part of the "performance" industry for singer/performers...why anyone would be surprised I am not sure.

I would rather someone actually sing and make mistakes or be different from the album then watch someone lip sync. It takes no talent to lip sync - that's what imposters and impersonators do, the real thing should be the real thing. And for those who say you can't expect someone to dance and sing, errr have you ever actually seen a musical, err that's what they do they sing, they dance, the perform, and they don't lip sync.
As someone who actually has released albums, (back when they were albums as in viynl records) i wouldn't even image lip syncing onstage...

For years I have been watching these performances get wilder and wilder, not just her but all the singer that jump around.
They all lip sync and i for one will not pay that kinda of money to see a record on stage.

You go to a concert to see the performer sing, NOT LIP Syncing WTF would anyone pay for that. If see cannot sing on stage then she should not have concerts and steal peoples hard earned money
