I am not into everything PETA believes in, but strongly believe that we need groups that take animal welfare into consideration. There are plenty of organizations who look after people needs (hunger. poverty, etc) so there's no need to get your panties in a wad about that. I think humans wearing fur (killing anything for ornamental purposes alone) is gross when there are other things that we can wear. My beef (no pun intended) is with this whole PETA "I would rather go naked campaign". I don't believe these celebrities really give a rat's ass (no pun intended) about what happens to these animals. I think it's just an excuse to say "look at me". It's not some selfless act for animals, in fact it's just some selfish self promotion. I happened to catch an episode of the Kardasian show where they asked one of those girls to pose in that campaign. She was clueless about the atrocities of fur. Maybe the association informed her about fur but what did it do for the animals really...did it inform about the suffering of animals? If these celebrities want to bring awareness and help animals they need to put their clothes back on and spend some of their big bucks to buy TV time and do a commercial about it or tour schools and tell children about those issues or volunteer some time at a animal shelter scooping poop and walking dogs...not strip off their clothes. This girl is not Robert Pattison or Kristen Stewart. She wants to make a name for herself on the backs of these poor animals. She's as bad as the people wearing the fur! Again, it's all selfish self promotion! Disgusting.

GET A LIFE LOOSER!!!! YOU MAKE ME SICK...RICHARD
I love the PETA campaign. The photography is fantastic. The women are stunningly beautiful. And I respect their being displayed in a gracefully, pure manner.
Am I going to be influenced by any of their ideas? Of course not! They are idiots that are actually promoting the nonexistence of these animals. Of couse, that would insure they are not mistreated.

Unless her movies are shot digitally she better find out what film is made from and then see if she still wants to be filmed. Seeing how she is in love with peta and all.

I thought wearing fur has been passe since the 80's. Who needs to unless it's really needed in remote places for warmth and where they use the whole animal? It was fashion "back in the day" but I talked a lot of people out of it -- talked, not threatened or destroyed property or turned lab animals loose to be killed on a road or starve. PETA started out with a great message that, like so many things, has become radical. Most people who really care about animals shun them because they do more harm than good nowadays.

I agree. The idea of animals being treated with respect and love is a good one, but PETA has taken it too far. Throwingpaint on people who wear fur and leather is not the right way to go about getting the message out about animal abuse. Sending out violent, bloody, gory videos in emails is not the right way to get your point across. I own animals, and the vet they go to has said that they're a few of the most well-taken-care-of pets he's seen in years. To all you PETA supporters, please, think through what your organization is DOING, not what their IDEALS are.
if peta keeps showing the beautiful women naked, yea me! glad to see they dont show fat women....i dont wear fur. i am a guy...

I'M ALL FOR PETA, I SUPPORT HEM, I SUPPORT ASPCA AND I WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO. CHILDREN ARE ALREADY BEING TAKEN CARE OF.I HAVE NO CHILDREN AND I HAVE PAID TAXES ALL MY LIFE, AND WHAT DID I GET FOR IT?????JUST A LOT OF STUPID CHILDREN, THAT'S WHAT. SO, DON'T ANYONE TELL ABOUT THE STARVING AND ABUSED AND FOSTERED CHILDREN. SOMEONE NEEDS TO TAKE ON THAT PROBLEM AND DISALLOW COUPLES FROM HAVING MORE THAN ONE CHILD. MOST PARENTS CAN'T EVEN CONTROL ONE CHILD THESE DAYS. SO, YES....I WILL DO EVERYTHING I CAN FOR ANIMALS AD YOU PARENTS NEED TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN.

God put animals on this earth for a purpose. I do not believe in animal abuse, nor do I eat meat or wear fur. But for thousands of years animals have been used such things. Indians used animal fur for warmth. I wouldn't buy a fur coat nor would I want to see an animal raised in captivity for such reasons nor killed in a cruel way such as clubbing etc. Peta has to understand however that people are more important than animals.
Animals eat eachother in the wild, so if a person eats a hamburger what is the difference.
People also have to understand that when they go out and spray paint a person with a fur coat that they get the insurance money and get another one.. hello.. that's even more animals. Some of these PETA folks have put animals above humans.
They can forgive a Pitbul for chewing a face of a child but they can't forgive Micheal Vick? I don't get it.

Just another reason for me not to see the movie. Anyone that supports PETA is also supporting the terrorist cells that PETA funds.

I can't beleive how screwed up and heartless you people are. Do you realize how much torture these poor animals go through for no good reason? We now have manmade materials and no longer need to use furs for warmth. I hope you monsters come back as a defenseless sweet animal that can't go to the police or fight back. Also, those starving children should have parents to take care of them, and if they knew that they couldn't provide a good life for their children, they should've got an abortion. You jerks can pay for their welfare since you know it all.

Some of you have valid points. Both in support of and against PETA. Those in support say a vegan and vegetarian lifestyle are healthier. Also the general argument of how cruel the animals are treated is a valid point. Quality of meat? Distribution and storage methods?
There are other arguments to make. The World War II generations ate what ever they wanted too. Managed to survive into their 70s and 80s. Most are healthy, relative to their ages. My grandparents lived into their late 80s. Their parents into their late 80s and early 90s. Most WWII people can expect to see 75. They ate and drank whatever they wanted too. Most of these people also are not fat.
The issue with health cannot be attributed just to diet. We are more sedentary. Older generations were blue color. Factory and industrial work is what they did most of their lives. Working 10-12 hour days and coming home to a home that needed couple of hours of out door work done on it. They worked food off. We sit at computers.
PETA wants to discuss health issues but leave a lot of context out of the debate.
I am not begrudging anyone that supports PETA. But I eat meat and fish and anything else I want to eat. I also eat veggies and fruit. My diet is balanced. I weigh about 200 LBs and have held at that weight for over a decade. I could stand to lose about 15-20 but since I am holding constant it is not a big concern.
I do believe in some conservation. Too me it depends on how fragile the species is. White tail deer number in the millions and hunting actually helps to keep their numbers in check.
Meanwhile, dolphins and whales are more threatened and should be left alone.
I see no reason to hunt an animal to extinction. Or too be cruel when there are more humane ways to kill the animal.
I think there is a manageable middle ground between the left PETA and the far right hunt and kill at will people.

So far all I see out of PETA is alot of truth bending, and distortion of facts. I have never yet seen anything factual stated from this organization. They can appear to take a fact and bend or mold it into what they want to fit their agenda. Let`s just say I question their acurracy when ever I see anything about them. I am a Massachussetts hunter, fisherman, trapper. They came on with a very strong campain to band trapping with so many mistruths, taking states evidence and portraing it to be the works of ethical and law abiding trappers working on the emotions of people that didn`t know any better. Then they moved on and the people had to live with the after math of exploding beaver populations flooding their houses and property! If you ever seen thier headquarters down in Norfolk, VA you would wonder how they get all their money! If everybody knew the truth they wouldn`t give so much to an organization like that!
