Demi Moore: Poster Girl for Cougars

As a 47-year-old woman with a husband 16 years her junior, Demi Moore is the prime example of a cougar. But don't call her one -- she prefers the term "puma."

"I'm certainly not the first person to be in a relationship with a younger man, but somehow I was plucked out as a bit of a poster girl," she says in the December issue of W Magazine. "I don't know why that is. But I just kind of step back sometimes and say, 'There is some reason, and what is it that I have to share in a positive way?'...I'd prefer to be called a Puma."

After the jump, Moore talks about her relationship with Ashton Kutcher and the lack of movie roles for actresses her age.

Ashton's positive influence on her life: "The love he has for me makes me a better person by giving me the courage to take risks. I can fail and have someone who loves me just the same. I never knew it was quite possible."

On the lack of movie roles: "The frustrating part is that the type of roles I'd be interested in are not really coming to me. I hate to say it's a function of my age [47]-but yes, I think in some ways it is. The majority of [female] roles are geared between 25 and 35."

How motherhood changed her life: "One of the things that hit me very strongly was the realization that what we do is not who we are. I had worked my whole life. Until I became a mother, that's the only way I measured my value."

On how Twitter is transforming her image: "People are much more interested in what I have to say directly, and that really changed the whole dynamic I have with fans...I can't impress enough the difference in how people are perceiving me. They're getting to see who I am."

I guess it's Demi's business if she wants a much younger man, but trying to keep up looking like a 25 year old is taking it's toll!!! If she just let herself age gracefully, she might actually get a part as an attractive 47 year old lady! But what does it matter anyway?? She has enough money to last her a lifetime...Demi, just stay home and enjoy your boy toy!!

She is UNDOUBTEDLY a very beautiful woman. So is Ashton. But that extremely photoshopped image does nothing for her credibility - look at the uneven hips. Who signs off on this stuff before it gets published?

Demi should be embarrassed being married to Ashton...he acts like a large child that hasn't grown up intellectually yet. Besides, when she gets older & doesn't look her best, I'm sure he'll get a young wife then.

Sorry Demi- you can't do the twenty something roles anymore. You might be a hot looking 47 but not a hot looking 20 something. You might want to consider aging hooker type roles, OR what you are type roles, a cougar. oops sorry, puma.

The second photo is an obvious photo shop error. If they are gonna do that to a photo, someone needs to make sure it looks real before it prints. I would be embarrassed to have this photo up if I were her. As far as Ashton, "dude, where's my talent"? All he is is a good looking guy. That 70's show was the worst thing and waste of time I have ever seen. His movies are geared for twenty somethings who seem to only enjoy toilet humor.

She looks great. She looks happy. I'll be her age in a few months and my guy is eleven years younger. I didn't seek him out he sought me. I've been an athlete all of my life as well as a vegetarian. I'm African American, so I have the benefit of melanin which prevents wrinkling. My guy is Italian, very successful, and funny as hell. I was very concerned about our age difference initially, but now, its just not an issue. We will be undergoing IVF next year ( donor egg ), to begin our family. Life is funny and love is crazy. You never know who your soul mate will be. Happiness to you all.

I think demi is alright as an actress....I would not judge to much on her roles and relationship status...Everyone has reason and things they do and dont for a reason in life.. I would say she has
pulled away from moives and stuff and been busy with herself and hubby...Now as for her ex who knows what happened but yeah!! they get along and become friends and the kids are not much in drama like brittany kids and other famous people...I wish her the best cause no is perfect and we all try to express and do whats right for us not for others..like media expects it!!! peace !!

Danjay and all you in here who make it look like she left bruce for a younger man.... check you facts. She took bruce back numerous numerous times. He abused her he cheated on her and detroyed all the self confidense she once had... He admits all that himself. But she did right by her kids and no matter what saw to it that the ugliness of thier marriage never touched her kids.

Kuchner will never leave her. He is a level headed man who is greatly responsible for the stabilty of those kids. He does pretty well in the moneymaking dept himself...he has several shows he is producing that are doing well and the person who said the 70s show was a no talent horrible show I lived through the sixties. That show is a classic and those kids were all incredible in bringing back that era, I mentored several young people in the 90s and they loved that show as much as i did. I never did not laugh when i watched i and they laughed even harder. it is syndicated all over the world. So obviously you are in a minority.

You all are crazy. She's getting offers, but not the ones she wants. She's not willing to do a TV sitcom yet, but if she wanted one, she'd have one in 15 minutes. You don't need much talent in Hollywood anymore to get ahead. With all the editing and computerization, anyone can look like a half way decent actor. I'd cast her in some kind of black widow story, she'd be excellent.
