Surprise! A giant Calvin Klein billboard starring a sweaty and nearly naked Eva Mendes is stopping traffic in New York City. In the ad, the 'Hitch' actress is wearing a sheer bra and tugging at an equally slippery male model's briefs. The spicy billboard spans an entire block in the trendy SoHo neighborhood, and has drawn mixed reactions from neighbors. "As much as I love advertising, it's gonna cause an accident. It's just right over the top," Carols Manuel told WPIX.

But you still have over 10 % unemployment. You still have Goldman Sachs alums working in the White House and GS will be causing a new bubble. We still have the insurance industry owing everyone, even as health care reform passes. Why is this ad important? Why is news on this important?

It shows how close to slipping into hell we really are - that's why.
Because it what people want to read and it generates ad revues it’s called capitalism. Or should we check with you before AOL runs the news
Who said AOL was news....it's just hype.
The ad is hype, over-the-top. Some things
just need to be left in the bedroom, we
have no decency left in this country, and
no shame.
The question is not about politics this time, so why even? To divert the subject of morality? Glad I am not driving down that street any time soon. I don't want to see that junk.
Oh my! No wonder why the generation of children that are interested in sex gets younger and younger each year... we put it right in their faces! Pretty soon we are going to have to talk to our 6 year old about safe sex, because I already had to tell my 8 year old about sex because of what someone told him at school. What ever happen to the days when people were modest and respected themselves.
Great comment! I'm with you 100%, this is a completely useless bit of news, there are things so much more important going around right now, and they want to talk about a billboard. *thumbs up*
If this bilboard is going to cause an accident? Then those people don't belong behind the wheel of a car to START with!!
This ad is important b/c it is SEXY! It takes our minds off the messes you are talking about. . .wow us with sex, sarcastic humor/sitcoms, and sports. . .WA-LA. . .what were we talking about?!?!
PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN
AOL has nothing better to write about
I didn't see any sex in that billboard. I saw two attractive people wearing clothing items no less skimpy that what would be seen on any beach or at any pool. What's the big deal? There is NO WAY this billboard represents the decline of morality in America, (as many church prudes have commented on here). Hey, if you don't want your bible belt children to see life, stay out of art museaum, history museums, and off city streets. In fact, buy yourself a compound and stay on it. This is a depiction of everyday life.
your complaining about 10% i live in michigan where over 15%
Honestly, I think that if you could get a ticket out on the street for wearing it, then you shouldn't have it up on a billboard in the middle of a neighborhood. It needs to come down. It's not classy, it's not attractive, and it definitely DOES show how our society's morals have diminished. Modesty is beautiful, and this is about as far from modest as you can get...
It's important because if we do not get our moral act together, let me rephrase that...if we do not turn back to God, not Allah or some other false god, but the only God, Jesus...we will implode on ourselves. We have turned from God long enough & He will not allow it to go on...Romans 1. Every nation, city, country, ect…that has ever existed & has fallen, has been because of moral decay. We better turn back to HIM & get our moral act together or none of the above, that you mentioned will matter. You can believe what you want, but take a look at history.
slipping into hell? over a billboard? i doubt it. it's not like children haven't seen anyone in their underwear before. and it isn't like they know what it's insinuating. they're just kids. i think it shows someone's great talent for photography, design, and style. this how some people make a living guys! let them do as they please. until the day I see pornographic material up i won't be complaining.
If you think this is such a non news story then don'r click the headline. You prudes need to get a life this has nothing to do with morals or ethics as you keep claiming which are lies you need to shut up your out of touch and thats a fact.
I have no problem with CK Billboard it's classy nothing wrong with no worse than what you would see on the beach. Eva Mendes is pretty & beautiful.
Hey Christians - take your hypocritical morality and shove it up your asses. We will drag your kids into the 21st century whether you like it or not, no matter how much you whine and scream. Your days of Puritanical idiocy are over. Get bent.
Slip Sliding Away, La La
We get what we demand. In 10 years everything will be well-produced but boring pornography. They have decided we want that.
