Celine Dion No Longer Expecting Baby

Canadian singer and songwriter Celine Dion was pregnant in August, 2009 amidst a firestorm of reports claiming she was carrying an embryo that had been frozen in liquid nitrogen for the past several years.

In August, a rep for the "My Heart Will Go On" star confirmed her pregnancy, but sadly now a family source now tells In Touch, "While her and Rene are actively trying for a baby, she is not currently expecting."

Dion and her husband Rene Angelil had embryos frozen while trying to conceive their first child, Rene-Charles.

Dion is best known for technically skilled and powerful vocals.

I am sorry but this relationship is creepy. Rene was a 40 something family man and Celine a little girl of twelve when their relationship started. He should have known better but why would one expect a grown man who is pursing a child to exhibit rational and moral thoughts? Unfortunately she developed a syndrome and a dependency like so many other manipulated and molested little girls. She sings her songs about love and all I can picture is this creepy evil old man standing over her!

Misscarrying is crushing, I know this, but I also know that it's not a good idea to have children after the age of 35. I puts you and your child in danger of having health issues. Most misscarriages are a sign that something wasn't right anyway. Still, good luck to them, they'll need it.

Personally I believe it is a little late in the couples lives to be thinking of another baby. The couple should consider the age and health of the father. They already have one child, they should be thankful.

How sad to hear of Celine and Rene's loss. I know how it feels to lose a baby, and my deepest sympathies are with them.

To all the pro-choice people out there, what's the big deal? It's just a fetus. The only real tragedy would be if she gave birth and then it died. Then she would have truly lost a baby. Think about it.

You obviously have never been pregnant. It is a child to the mother AS SOON AS YOU CONCEIVE! It doesn't matter how old you are, how many children you have, or how skinny you are or even if you're famous.
If you ever experience a tragedy like this, I hope to God that you have someone understanding to help support you through your time of grief... Not how you're acting now.

That is so sad. I wish them the best on conceiving. I had 7 miscarriages and a stillborn prior to giving birth at the age of 39yrs. and 2 months to a healthy boy. He is now 17 and I don't think I was too old!! Older parents make better judgements, because of life's experiences. My prayers are with you both.

Ms. Dion is 41. There used to be a time when 38 was the cut off for a healthy child. I wish her the best but maybe looking at adoption would be the wisest thing.

Sorry to hear about this. When she has had enough of the ivf treatments, then she's had enough. If you've never been through it, you have no idea what an intense process it is, both physically and emotionally. I feel for her...it's a terrible feeling to want to conceive but not be able to do it on your own. She will know when she's done trying.

Who are we to tell someone they are to old to a child. First of all for those of you who dont know a thing about Celine, she is not anorexic. She does eat, all of her sisters are thin also. What is wrong with this world when we hate others all the time for what they have and have accoplished in their lives! There is nothing wrong with wanting to have your own child.
