'King of Pop' Laid to Rest In $35,000 Suit
Michael Jackson's burial was a long time coming, but the King of Pop was laid to rest in style. Jackson was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in a lavish ceremony - and a $35,000 suit, PEOPLE reports. The entire cost of the ceremony was at least 1 million -- with his estate picking up the tab.
Jackson was entombed inside the Grand Mausoleum which alone cost $590,000. Other expenses included casket cost, burial garments and security.
Jackson was finally buried in a private burial ceremony 70 days after his death. The Jackson family arrived 90 minutes late to the service at Forest Lawn Glendale. Among the high-profile guests attending the private service were Elizabeth Taylor, Stevie Wonder, Al Sharpton and many other friends of Jackson and his family.

God rest him. What a talent . For much of his life he lived a troubled soul with problems with his father most evident. Sad that Joe would contest the will but he has no other option that his ego would allow .Now I see Why MJ would shake when Joe entered the room ...

According to LaToya Jackson (who was actually there, unlike People magazine), Michael was buried in the white jacket he wore during the 93 Grammy Awards, black pants, and a gold wrestler-style belt. In other words, he was buried in clothes he had already owned. The $35,000 suit thing is bogus.

To Zoe,
Thank you so much. We all heard what Latoya said her brother was buried in when she was interviewed by Barbara Walters on 20/20. Yet some still opt to ignore the facts. Ms. Jackson it should be noted, conducted this interview, without being paid. This was Latoya's choice. Fans like myself were grateful during such a tragic time to hear from a family member. The media is disgusting, and unfair to the Jackson family, as also are a good number of people who make comments here. King Michael's family are heirs to whatever he had no matter what. Joseph Jackson is King Michael's father, we all heard MJ say he loved his dad. If it were not for Joseph's diligence, chances are noone would have ever heard of the Jackson Five, Michael Jackson, Janet, or any other Jackson for that matter. The public should not be made privy to celebrity personal affairs. Human beings deserve some level of privacy for goodness sake! They also deserve the truth and not lies if anything, to be publicized. Why should it be of concern to anyone whether or not the family was punctual for THEIR loved one's funeral? I imagine the burial was the hardest thing in their lives they've ever done. King Michael's legacy is so phenomenal, thank God for people like you to reveal some truth.LOL.

Rest In Peace MJ..we love you regardless...
I highly doubt that he will be buried in a 35,000 suit..the lavish expenses in his funeral, the lie that the family had shown to us, we all mourn him in our special way, I almost went to L.A that time..but some insider told us he won't be there..w/c is true in a way..lok they did'nt bother to open the casket for the people to view. WHY? HE AIN'T THERE. the family is facing difficulty or in some financial strap because of this incident..NOW they're gonna spend hundred thousands of dollar come on take a big look at this picture..there's something wrong in it. too questionable...especially the dads motive..just my opinion ok..

La Toya, (Zoe) it sound like something you would say for damage control.
We still have questions to be answered about Michael death and the truth will come out.
A friend of Michael's from New York told the news, that Michael always had at least a Million Dollars on hand where ever he was living. As a matter of fact, he even told where he would keep the money.
Your the one that claimed money and jewerly were taken from his home. Well, considering you and your family were their going through the house, which one of you found it... This is like clue,
in the Bathroon behind the toliet...
I just can't wait until this special investigation unit looks into what part the family had to play in Michael's death.
These are my opinions only and of so many others.

LaToya would say anything to anyone for a stale bangel if she thought it would get her name in the press. MJ's Father... Tell It Like It Is... You can be encouraging and supportive and not be abusive. You might as well have said getting beat as as child was good for Michael and his career. Some fan you are. The fact is the whole family, except maybe Janet, is a huge MESS. I'm just wondering when the Nat'l Enquier will start posting MJ sitings in that Elvis-esqe way they did for so many, many years.
