Lady Gaga has changed the way we view celebrity fashion. When Gaga hits a red carpet style watchers aren't just asking whether she looks good or bad, they're likely to ask, "Wow, is that a live bird on her head?" Each Gaga costume is a true work of art which is why PopEater wants to celebrate our top ten list of the wildest Gaga ensembles. The proof is in the pictures.

10. Phantom of the Opera at the VMAs

"Lady Gaga definitely likes to go over the top with her fashion choices. Wearing a mask is something that is guaranteed to get her noticed--and it's something other female performers aren't likely to copy, either," says Marissa Gold, Celebrity Style Editor of AOL StyleList. "Similar to Marilyn Manson, she's going for pure shock value and using her masks (like the full-coverage bondage-style one she wore to an MTV press conference, or the red-lace one she wore to the VMAs) to take her look one step further. Gaga definitely sees fashion as art, and for her, being innovative, bizzare, or ironic is how she expresses herself."

"One thing we adore about Gaga is the use of her hair as an accessory. Being experts in all things hair, we love it when women recognize how much your hairstyle truly adds to your ensemble," says grooming expert Margaret Kelly of Lock & Mane "Our favorite is the "hair bow" she donned a few months back. So creative and fun. She continues to surprise us with her hair art and we love it."

"This may not be the most buzzed about Gaga look, but its essential to the canon," says Glamour magazine's Slaves to Fashion blogger Tracey Lomrantz. "This really laid the foundation for Gaga's early pants-less movement--and she chose a look-at-me scarlet hue to declare to the world, 'I'm here, I left my pants at home, and you're going to like me that way.'"

4. Lady Liberty Gaga

"One of her most shocking looks to date was the head-to-toe red lace look she wore on the night of the VMAs and later to the Marc Jacobs after-party," Gold says. "Not only was her outfit see-through and her face covered, but she secured a circular spiked hairpiece to her head like a futuristic platinum Statue of Liberty. Everyone was talking about that the next day."

3. The Bubble Dress

Who cares whether this was a real Hussein Chalayan creation or a knock-off. It was bubbalicious. "This one really made me feel like Gaga's got a sense of humor. She embraces kitsch, and then turns it on its head, and that's why she's Lady Gaga," Lomrantz says.

2. MTV VMA, The mono-kini

"Is there another woman on Earth who could dangle from the ceiling in thigh high boots, splattered in fake blood, and still somehow look glamorous? If you look up "provocative" in the dictionary, you'll find this photo," Lomrantz says.

Lady Gaga rocks. She's got a great voice and her wigs express more about costume than the put-on, so to speak, that other's wear are a cover-up. It's flashy, but hey, it's fun. Go Lady Gaga.

Well, not to sound like another one of those nagging fans, but the truth is, I've watched a lot of videos in which she plays live alone with the piano and has a very powerful, to my opinion, gorgeous voice, she has nothing to do with Britney Spears, actually has a set of lungs on her. I really don't understand people who still say she can't sing, she's one of the few pop artists left who can! I guess they've never heard the acoustic versions...

All I have to say is... Lady Gaga is a fun change from the regular old boring ... look at me, I'm prettier than you barbie dolls.

She has a unique voice that is much better than I have heard lately. I can't tell one singer from the next anymore, they all sound alike!

If you don't like her, you have the choice to not watch her. I'm sure that what you think won't sway how she portrays herself...

Lada Gaga really CAN sing!! I heard her sing acapella on youtube and she KILLED it, plus I love her style, it's all her own, and very unique and some of the stuff she wears is really fun! Idk why people are hatin on her, she's talented and at least she's not sickingly mainstream like Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Carrie Underwood or any other popular singer!
