Very happy for both of them. I remember Rebecca when she was on the soap opera Loving and the series Earth 2. In addition to eating right and exercising I hope she stops smoking as well. Best wishes for a healthly, happy baby!!

Gayheart was driving through Hollywood in her friend's Jeep Cherokee when she struck 9-year-old Jorge Cruz, Jr. as he crossed the street on his way home from school. Although the boy was not using a crosswalk, several cars had stopped on the road to let him cross. Gayheart swerved around the stopped cars and attempted to pass them in a two-way turn lane when she hit the boy. Jorge Cruz, Jr. died the next day at a local hospital. Gayheart claims she never saw the child and denies any wrongdoing in the accident.

I feel for the boy and those that survive him. He did walk into traffic making some cars stop, oviously not all! ... that she didn't see what was happening is an ACCIDENT, not something that will create bad KARMA as some moron wrote. That she wasn't convicted of a crime speaks loudly, this being an accident caused by the boy who walked into traffic creating his own accidental death. Again, I feel for him and those that survive him ... I pity those that have negative things to say about the poor woman who was dragged into his death by his own bad judgement. Shame on those that want to write negative things about anyone for an accident ... REMEMBER, she is a victom here ... she has to live with the memories of being part of the death of a young boy for the rest of her life. Sometimes being in a persons shoes is necessary ... hopefully for those negative people it will never happen. Life is better lived with the "glass 1/2 full" not empty!
Okay, yes it was an accident and all that, but i highly doubt it was his fault or his "bad judgment". he was a boy, a child. it is not as though he was entirely old enough to be walking alone and make extremely good decisions. a victim? i disagree. she is only a victim to her own lack of focus.
Interesting. So i'm assuming she didn't go to jail. I wonder what would have happened if that had been. Just another person out there. Why did she get away with it? Also, it's Called KARMA. Poor little Boy. SAD>

Den either you are a moron or you are deliberately trying to incite anger. Gayheart is no victim, the 9-year boy was the victim, operative word being "9-year old" - If I recall she was on a cell phone or distracted in some other manner and a child who may not have been aware of crosswalk rules was run down by her SUV. Yes, it was an accident but the boy is still dead, the family still misses him, and she has gone back to her Hollywood lifestyle. She is no victim.
