After reports surfaced that John Travolta wanted to do a remake of the classic film 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,' PopEater teamed up with Access Hollywood's AH Nation to see if people liked the idea. However, 41K votes were cast and a whopping 81 percent said "leave this masterpiece alone." Watch It

If I never have to see either of these two on the screen again, that would be fantastic.
One denied his son life saving medication from grand mal seizure disorder and turned his care over to the cult, resulting in NO medications for him and his eventual death, alone and in a bathtub with convulsions that killed him.
The other is a total kook and his wife should be glad that their daughter does not have a seizure disorder.

Katie was paid 50 million dollars to marry Tom Cruise, but didn't read the fine print in the contracts. At night he's allowed to literally suck her life force so she ages horribly, and he stays young. He's also allowed to eat any miscarried baby... It's better to sell your soul to the devil than Tom Cruise.

Why would they want to make it a gay remake of a classic movie by putting those two homosexuals in it?

Nothing worse than a scorned lover Brad.

Remakes usually suck. Tim Burton's 2001 remake of Planet of the Apes is awful and every copy of that travesty needs to be rounded up and destroyed.

Bad idea. Though I've been an advocate of remaking Butch after seeing Ocean's 11. I think the only way to make it work is to use the exact script, unchanged, let Soderburgh direct it with George Clooney as Butch and Brad Pitt as Sundance.

John Travolta looks like the real Butch Cassidy. Paul Newman does not. Stick with history. When they make movies of actual people, they should stick with history.

Umm yeah, Travolta does look "slightly" like the real Butch Cassidy (and I stress slightly). However, there are other actors, albeit B list, that bear a far stronger resemblance. And in truth, if you were going to remake this classic you might want to go with "unknowns" as historically audiences and critics are far more forgiving of new blood trying to fill the shoes of an icon than established stars trying to "steal the thunder" of a classic.

They should stick with what works! Paul Newman and Robert Redford worked it!!!

Let's face it, they're too old, too fat and heaven knows too damned ugly to take the place of Paul Newman and Robert Redford.

I agree. Leave the original alone. It was a wonderful fun movie and Newman/Redford were great in it. Travolta and Cruise??????? They couldn't even be silent extras in a movie with Newman/Redford.
As for the person who thinks you stick with people who look like the historic characters....are you kidding me? Get a grip on the unrealities of Hollyweird.
