Rosie O'Donnell Admits Split Happened Two Years Ago

Former daytime talk show host Rosie O'Donnell has shared few details of her split with longtime partner Kelli Carpenter, but she let an unexpected tidbit slip Friday on her own Sirius radio show: Carpenter actually moved out of their family home two years ago. PEOPLE reports that Rosie's conversation with a pet psychic led to the big reveal. Discussing her own chihuahua, Rosie said, "What happened [was] when Kelli moved out two years ago, I got the dog. Because I wanted another child or something to love. And I got the dog."

Last month, Rosie told USA Today , "We're a family. We will remain a family forever. And we are working on our issues,"

The couple married in San Francisco in 2004 have three adopted children (Parker, 14, Chelsea, 12, and Blake, 9) as well 6-year-old Vivienne, whom Carpenter carried.

"They're adorable and wonderful and they are by far a priority," O'Donnell said with tears welling. "Kelli and I love each other very much and we are working on our issues. Those are the only words I am ever going to say. Ever. And that is something that has been agreed upon by all parties."

The National Enquirer reported in August that Carpenter had moved out their home and into Manhattan.

Nothing to do with her lifestyle..I couldnt care less and think everyone should be entitled to love whomever they want. Getting that out of the way before people bash me for being a redneck.
I cannot stand Rosie O'Donnell she is a disgusting human being. She is foul mouthed and a big fat sloppy pig. Not to mention a loud mouthed know-it-all. She should NOT be the celebrity representative for lesbians under any uncertain terms. She is difficult to like for anyone.
She gives lesbians a bad name if they didnt have tough enough...this pig makes it worse for people like Ellen Degeneres and Portia DeRossi. At least shes not torturing us by making us look at her and keeping her arrogant, know it all attitude to satellite radio. Thank God for small favors.

Good call on the Tom Selleck harrassment. I had forgotten about that. She is preaching to him about hunting and animal rights...but when Kelli finally wisened up and left her..what did she do? WENT OUT AND BOUGHT A DOG! Not adopted and rescued a dog..but actually went out and purchased a dog! At least Tom uses the meat he gets while hunting..because Rosie chose to purchase her dog...one died alone in a shelter. That fat nasty pig needs to examine her own life choices and not worry what the hell anyone else is doing. She really gives lesbians a bad name...thank God for Ellen Degeneres so peoples only impressions of lesbians ISNT Rosie.
