The pair -- who are both black -- has been left off the promotional photo in the U.K., while the rest of the white actors remain.
According to The Daily Mail, Universal -- the studio behind the film -- claims they wanted to "simplify" the posters for the English audience. However, they apologized for offending anyone.

What about IKEA furniture???
Typical white move.
If they wanted to simplify the poster, cut out one of the white couples. It's three white couples and one black.

You shout the word "racist" while in the same breath you say "typical white move"? I wonder, could racism be a two way street?

thedre8862..........Where have you been living? In a closet? Of course RACISM is a TWO WAY street!! I grew up in inner city Chicago, and I'm white, and used to get ATTACKED just because the color of my skin!! TRUST ME!! It's a TWO WAY STREET!!!!
Again, there's no such thing as reverse-racism...it's called hatred...and with good reason!!
I have to laugh every time the leftist loons bring up racism. These are the same idiots who just elected a black racist as president! What's that you say? "he's not a racist"? Well he listened to Jeremiah Wrights racist hate speech every Sunday for twenty years didn't he? If John McCain had attended a Klan meeting every Sunday for twenty years, wouldn't you wackos be calling him a racist?
IF THE BROAD IN THE REPLY ABOVE ME WASNT A RACIST SHE WOULD HAVE SAID "A RACIST PRESIDENT" NOT A "BLACK RACIST PRESIDENT".......SO RELAX CUPCAKE....HOW MANY PRESIDENTS THAT DID JOIN CLAN MEETINGS AND OWN SLAVES WERE ELECTED?.... SHHHHHH RIGHT NOW, BEFORE YOU MAKE YOURSELF LOOK ANY MORE IGNORANT THAN YOU ALREADY HAVE
Oh give me a break...of all things to get all uppity about...a damn movie poster??? The whole thing has been switched around. People are too damn sensitive these days...this goes right along the lines of being forced to say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas"!

since AA-identified people make up only something less than 20% of the US population, then 1/4 (25%) is overrepresentation. Where is the hispanic couple? more hispanics in the US than africans.
you realize that the use of the word "uppity" is a slur against AA people. At least, some folks will suggest that. *sigh*
20%...where did you get that number? LMAO....
"Happy Holidays" is all INCLUSIVE
"Merry Christmas" is EXCLUSIVE
Removing only black people is "EXCLUSIVE"
get it?
They even took out the actors names. I am black and I personally don't really care, I don't live in Britain. But if you want to simplify the poster take out one of the caucasian couples also.

well i'm white and i totally agree, there's an awefully lot of white in both posters (considering the black couple is in teh WAAAAY back and are WAAAY outnumbered...) They are clearly the "token black couple" and i'd be interested to see the movie just to see how many stereotypes they adhere to...why isnt there a latino couple? It just seems liek an odd movie altogether....
orlenda, they are not a "token" black couple. Faizon Love is in most movies with Jon Favreu and Vince Vaughn, they are friends. I would guess they are in the back because they are the least famous of all the actors.
It's only "offensive" if you hear about it.
Get a grip--A movie poster is simply advertising to a target market.
Anyone who calls THIS "offensive" should check out McDonald's radio ads which feature professional speakers portraying urban customers.
It's all target marketing, and if one is offensive, the other is as well.

Gah...you people see racism in EVERYTHING! It's so annoying. Have you ever thought that perhaps the black actors aren't as well known to the general public, maybe specifically in Britain? The 3 white guys (Vaughn, Bateman, Favreau) on the poster are definitely more known here in the states, maybe they are in Britain as well, sheesh-it's not like they took them out of the movie, stop being so ridiculous and saying everything is racist.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN "YOU PEOPLE"??
just kidding, i know what you mean.
MimiAndy - "Uppity?" Using that word can't be an accident. That was a word certain people used when "other" people stepped out of their place. Actually "uppity" went with another word....starts with N.... How dare you! Something as blatant as removing the only different people from a publication sends a specific message. This time they were black. They could have been any "different" culture. It says those people don't belong. So I say, my "different" money doesnt belong in their studios.

It would be a different story if the black couple had been photoshopped out, but the British poster is totally unique. This is not an issue. The British poster is a better design than the other. If I were given all the publicity stills, I would have created something more like the British Poster simply because it looks better and has eye focus than the other one. I doubt that race had anything to do with it.
