The pair -- who are both black -- has been left off the promotional photo in the U.K., while the rest of the white actors remain.
According to The Daily Mail, Universal -- the studio behind the film -- claims they wanted to "simplify" the posters for the English audience. However, they apologized for offending anyone.

Why do Black people always have to feel "offended", Why do black people get to have BET ( BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION)- and even on AOL they have a BLACKVOICES...WTF? That's a bit offensive if you ask me... and I'm not even white.

CMT?.no?....... oh ok.. and maybe you need to speak to steve case about getting a white voices on aol because theres probably a BLACK VOICES because someone marketed for it.
Gosh, what would have happened if the poster models were all blacks, a couple of gay couples, and a dirty old man with a naked child. It would be soooooo politically correct and then would meet the standards set popular culture. The racists are the outraged posters, because they automatically find racism in everything. So, in their way of thinking nothing can be done unless racism is considered and quotas set.

"blacks will work to clean up our neighborhoods" LOL that's a good one. When exactly will this happen?

it'll happen when all other races do the same thing....
We all know the most racist people on earth are the blacks, c'mon people wake up.

Oh gosh - it was a stupid movie anyway .. Of course what happen here is racist - however they might be better off not to be mentioned in conjuction with such a 3rd rate flick

Are you serious. People are actually getting offended over leaving a couple people out of the poster. That caption that is writin above is to get people to think its offensive or racial. So everybody will be angry over it cuz thats what writers look for. Boohoo some people were left out, theres other problems to be worried about in the world rather than some people being left out of a freakn poster.

do i need to recall when other races dont get their way and make a big deal out of it or just cheat into getting what they want?...................... nov 4th? 2000?........ oh!...ok...thought so.

True, that there are bigger issues in America to be dealt with but you don't think the promotion of RACISM is a worthy problem to address?

That's because the Brits don't have to check with the stupid American Politically Correct Handbook before they make their decisions. You know, like a free country does. Good for them. They could have excluded them for any number of harmless reasons and the fact that they are black shouldn't give them any immunity from "The Breaks" that the rest of us have to deal with.
Besides, it's England. They aren't exactly famous for their racism.

Racism might be the “easy” answer here, but it might not be the correct answer.
Actors fight for ever inch they can get in the movie business. From the size of their dressing room trailer, to where their name appears on the movie poster. It is possible that the two Black actors are NOT known in Britain, and had no contractual agreements to appear in ALL main publicity.
I really thought that after the election of Barack Obama, we could put aside some of this racial tension. “How could American be RACIST?” Has any country in Europe ever had a Black King, President, or Black Prime Minister?
Yet, racial tensions seem higher now in the States. We are now fighting over a movie poster.
The word “racist” will be used so much that it will no longer “mean” anything, anymore.

You act as though ALL of AMERICA is happy that we FINALLY, AFTER TOO MANY YEARS, have a black president.
No Nita, that isn’t what I am saying.
You cannot stop all Black hatred of White people. And you cannot stop all White hatred of Black people.
However if you go from the 1980 election between Reagan and Carter, you couldn’t even conceive of a Black person running and winning. Just 28 years later, it happened with President Obama.
What I am saying is that if we use the term “racist” too often, it will not mean anything, to anyone, anymore.
Like a car alarm screaming in a crowded parking lot, while people walk past and pay this alarm no attention.

Black people have been hearing the same old BS for years - there wasn't room, it doesn't fit the target audience, etc. All code for "We really didn't want you here in the first place and we'll use whatever tactics we can to minimize your involvement."
I won't be organizing a march over the matter, but I won't rent/buy the DVD now.

Not only offensive, but stupid. There are many people of color in England, and the English TV shows that I have seen (Dr. Who, Torchwood, etc.) all seem to have at least one black character in them.

...what's your point?

probably just another 90 minute waste of time/money that no one is gonig to see anyway!!

The movie was definitely C Rate...and for black people be proud the couple wasnt included in the poster, maybe they will delete the couple from entire movie.
Did you see the movie? As a black woman I am happy they were not included in the poster. The portrayal of the black couple was embarrasing. Truely disgusting, if the aim was to be PC they movie would have been better if the couple wasnt even included. This movie was so disapponting. Every racial stereotype of blacks someone shows its face in this movie.

If you really look at the pictures you will see that they are two separate photos, not one cropped to eliminate one couple. I guess they liked the closeup photo better.
