Janet Jackson on Dr. Murray: 'He Is Responsible'

Janet Jackson holds Dr. Conrad Murray responsible for her brother Michael's death, and says in a rare interview to air Wednesday that "a day doesn't go by that I don't think about him."
She told ABC's Robin Roberts that Murray she would be barred from practicing medicine. "He was the one that was administering," Jackson said. "I think he is responsible."
Prosecutors in Los Angeles are weighing charges against Murray in the pop singer's death. Murray told police he administered a powerful anesthetic to the singer shortly before Jackson died June 25. A spokeswoman for the doctor, Miranda Sevcik, said Monday he continues to maintain he neither prescribed or administered anything to Jackson that should have killed him.
Janet has remained relatively quiet since her brother's passing. In the interview, she describes how she was at her home in New York when her assistant called to say Michael had been taken to the hospital. She told relatives to call her when they got to the hospital and grew concerned when she wasn't getting any calls back.
She says that a day doesn't go by when she doesn't think of Michael. "It just didn't ring true to me. It felt like a dream," she said. "It's still so difficult for me to believe.
"It's been a tough year," she went on. "You have your days where it's just really -- it's hard to believe. And a day doesn't go by that I don't think about him."

Yes its definitely the Docs fault. And its perfectly natural for a Star/God of Michael's stature to be "knocked out" in order to get sleep. Lets blame the Doc.

I think it was Michael Jacksons fault. He was a grown man and he let the doctors do what they did.

What a stupid thing to say. Murray put the drug inside him. The doctor acted irresponsibly and the medical council want his licence taken away from him and it will happen. the judge has already stop him using some drugs already.
You are responsible for YOUR own actions , YOUR BROTHER WAS A JUNKIE , why did you not love him enough to save him ?
GO HAVE A WAREDROBE MALFUNCTION ...YOUR A HAS- BEEN

Gregory, I saw "This is it" this weekend, You called MJ a junkie, he is the MOST ORGANIZED junkie I've EVER witnessed. After watching that film, I can honestly say, that would have been the BEST concert ever. It would have surpassed Thiller. He was right " This is it" RIP MJ, you were an amazing individual with great talent. Yes MJ requested the drug to assistant him for whatever reason. However ALL Doctor's have a responsibility also, to patients regardless of their status, Anna Nicole Smith etc, should not be deceased because of doctor greed.
I love the internet because it exposes jerks such as yourself. Even if Janet was a "has been", at least she has been and knows what it's like. You are a nobody and will die with that status. Keep spewing negativity, maybe that's your claim to fame.
It doesn't matter if your a star or not, the things you said about Janet was not called for, I just hope the respect you just gave her, you receive the same when you lose your sister or brother, your mother or father, or even your child. That was not right and like we all say, Michael could ask for whatever he wants, that doctor took a oath and he let MONEY get the best of him and soon his freedom.
Oh, that we were all so perfect as you must be to be able to pass judgement on a man. You must be in so much pain to be so angry and mean towards other people that you don't even know. I'm sorry for whatever's happened to you to make you so cynical.
Wishing all the best to you.
shut up, janet is right. the doctor administered the stuff so he's responsible that's why his death is a HOMICIDE. he took an oath and FAILED his patient.
How can you call him a junkie. He needed help. It's hard to help someone if they don't want it. you should never give up on helping someone you love. If it was your family would you try tohelp? I no I would .
Don't blame MJ! The doctor shoudn't have done it! "yep, im gonna go give MJ drugs cuz he demanded them, what could happen?" i'l tell you what happen, YOU KILLED THE GREATEST ARTIST OF ALL TIME!!!!!

And if it weren't THIS particular doctor, it would have been another one. At the level of Michael's fame and fortune, he could have -- and would have -- found any number of physicians that would have given him what he wanted. This was going on for some time, and nothing happened until it happened.
Make no mistake, he would have found another doctor to do just that if this one had said no. And THAT doctor would have been on the hot seat right now, instead of this one. The man would have died, regardless of who it was he had on his payroll.

To Ray,
I disagree. Medical professionals have stated in King Michael's case, if treated properly, symptoms could have been alleviated. If meds not administered to him, no addiction could ensue. As a so-called "physician", Murray had no business administering Propofol OUTSIDE hospital setting. If King Michael became addicted, measures should have been taken to unhook him. Murray should be held responsible.
i wonder how hard they would been on this doctor if he would have been white.

I believe that if our court made it illegal for public figures use alias' for their protection a lot of this would not be able to happen. It would make it difficult for the doctors to be over prescribing as well as stopping other enablers allowing them to use there names.
All we know is what we have read and heard thru media and print. Who knows what was actually going on during the last day/weeks of Michael Jacksons' life. I feel those living in his home could have been more proactive since most of them seemed to care about him. I recall that when he told the nurse who was on CNN that he was not feeling well, that he was feeling cold one half of his body and hot on the other half, either she, his doctor or those working in the home should have seen to it that he was taken to the hospital. Maybe if intervention such as this had occured, the truth about what was going on would have been brought to those who could have stopped what was going on.
Yes Dr. Murray should be prosecuted and put in jail the way that you or I would have been by now. Also AEG is probably responsible too because they put him on the payroll. I also feel they had a part by putting the extra burden on him by changing the agreement from 10 concerts to 50. I'm sure this was on Michael's mind. Maybe for some reason someone there wanted him dead. And let's not forget for the past fifteen years the media, Tom Sneddon, Diane Dimond, and others were responsible for pushing him to the emotional limit. I heard that at one time he had gone clean of the prescription. What a cruel world. Now we hear them playing his music all the time. Justice will prevail because God promises this in the bible. I pray that the family will demand that all those responsible are held accountable.

I certainly agree. The media did a job on the poor guy. And the now the "kid" admits he lied in 2005, the parents made him do it. It would be interesting to know how the media and these people are feeling now! How can they live with themselves. God, my heart is just broken thinking how unfair this wonderful man was treated.
MJ's father say there are many reponsable for his death, i'm not a Joe supporter but here he's right, maybe he is responsable too for a part, end other family members, end all who made MJ's life a hell.
For who ever docter that contributed to MJ's death: when a man is very sic he belong in hospital end off bad drugs, in jale or not who gave the fatal drug(s) has to live with it for the rest of his (her) life, i hope that person has still a conscience.
To cscott,
WELL SAID!!!
