Why Were They There? Random Celebs Out for 'New Moon'

Let's face it. 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' is going to be one of the biggest films of the year. Yes, it's geared towards lonely high school girls and their mothers, but it is a huge phenomenon.

As expected, all its stars turned out for the Los Angeles premiere of the film. And, as is the norm for big movies, other celebs showed up as well. It's just that given the nature of the material, we were surprised by a few of them.

50 Cent
Why Was He There? We imagine he was sharing muscle building tips with star Taylor Lautner.

Justin Chambers
Why Was He There? OK, probably for his kids. But the 'Grey's Anatomy' doc seems out of place.

Shar Jackson
Why Was She There? We have no idea.

Richie Sambora
Why Was He There? He accompanied his daughter, Ava, but isn't that a job for her mom, Heather Locklear?

Julianne Hough
Why Was She There? The 'Dancing' cutie slash country singer must be a fan. Or just wants to be seen.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy
Why Were They There? Hewitt's an admitted lover of the series, and we guess Kennedy is tagging along as her faithful boyfriend. But still ... really?

Jeffrey Dean Morgan
Why Was He There? We can't decide if he beats 50 Cent for the most random cameo on the red carpet for 'New Moon' or not.

Robert Pattinson
Why Was He There? Is there a reason the good looking British kid who played Cedric in those 'Harry Potter' movies attended the premiere? Oh wait ... (We're just kidding.)

Justin Chambers & Jeffery Dean Morgan were likely there to support Elizabeth Reaser--Reaser was a recurring guest star on Grey's Anatomy as Chambers' character's patient/girlfriend for a while. Morgan was also on Grey's as a recurring character. So these appearances at New Moon, which Reaser is in aren't as random as 50 Cent's appearance.
