Man Whose Son Accused Michael Jackson of Molestation Found Dead

Evan Chandler -- the father of
Jordan Chandler, who accused
Michael Jackson of molesting him -- was found dead early this month of a gunshot wound to the head, the
New York Post reports.
The 65-year-old former dentist was discovered in his Jersey City apartment with a .38-caliber revolver in his hand, officials say. The building's concierge found the body. No note has been found, but police officials believe it's an open-shut case.
"He [Chandler] was on his bed still holding the weapon with a single gunshot wound to the head," Jersey City police spokesman Stan Eason told reporters. "It's straightforward. Case closed. It's suicide."
Eason said Chandler was gravely ill and scheduled to see a hermatologist on the day he died. When he didn't make his appointment, the doctor called the concierge to check on him.
"There was medication found in the apartment consistent with a serious illness," Eason said.
In the 1990s, Jordan Chandler and his parents received $20 million settlement from Jackson over the sexual abuse claims, although the late King of Pop was never charged with the crime.
Jordan and his father became estranged and Jordan even received a restraining order against Evan in 2006, after he allegedly hit his son with a dumbbell.
According to a family friend, Evan Chandler was depressed in the final days of his life. "Over the years, [Evan] began to develop tremendous mood swings. He was always depressed," the friend said.
Chandler was once a prominent Beverly Hills dentist, but his business and personal life collapsed due to the strain of his son's claims against Jackson. According to reports, he has undergone several plastic surgeries in order to disguise himself from angry Jackson fans.

I suspect this death has everything to do with age related depression and little to do with Jackson, but hey it makes great headlines.

You would be incorrect, the boy Jordan Chandler had already came forth and admitting that NO MOLESTION ever took place and it was his parents idea to get money. He and his Father have been estranged ever since, which is why they do not get along. Michael was the only VICTIM in both senario's as the other case was thrown out due to the numerous LIES the other family had told as well. Chandlers did get the money though due to the INSISTANCE of Jackson's attorneys to pay and moe on with his life, even though he had done NOTHING wrong. You reep what you sew and now Jordans father is having to face his, not being able to take the shame and humilation any longer.

Im pretty sure it only took people beating his ass for a couple of years to make the kid retract his story.
Michael Jackson died a drug addict, and he took his doctor, who was following the orders of the man that paid him, down when he went. He had people LIE to get the drugs for him. FOR YEARS. How many of you would let your kid go to a next door neighbors house that was a crackhead and play?
I guess if he was a crackhead and sang good it would make a difference.
What kind of pedalstal are you going to put him on?
You are absolutely right when you say "You reap what you sow"

You know, there is no amount of money great enough to take the pain away if the child had been molested by MJ. So ask yourself this" Would you settle for any amount of money if it was your child and you knew he/she was molested?" Thats right...it was all about the money, I would not have settled for any amount if I knew it was true!! MOney hungry people SUCK!!! RIP..Michael, we miss and love you :)

The way I see it is If Jackson didn,t do it, why did he pay them off?
Its rather obvious he did something. I still, and always believe he molested children and the only reason he got away with it, was because he had money to quiet everyone.!

When you have the kind of money he had , you listen to YOUR ATTORNEY. He was advised to pay and it would kill the MEDIA FRENZY. Instead the media jumped on it all the more, even well respected Greta Van Susteren said the day he died that Michael had been a victim TWICE for people who were greedy opportinists nothing more. Michael was guilty of being NAIVE nothing more.

Ok John, I see what you're saying, but do you really think a parent who knows that their child had been molested would settle for just money? I would prosecute to the fullest extent of the law and make sure the offender was put away for LIFE! No amount of money can pay for the physical, emotional, and mental distress molestation causes. REAL parents wouldn't accept a payoff to keep quiet. If the molesation truly happened, than they have just prostetuted their own child and are just as guilty.

Why would you still believe M.J did it, if the child later confess that it never happen and that his parents put him up to it, knowing that it my cause strife with his parents. M.J loved children and already knew it was the parents. That's why he paid them to put an end to the publicity. But people still hating on him. Trust me if this was going on it would have came up sooner. Don't be a hater.

Jackson was offering the money to note tarnish his image in the media. And the charges against him were dropped not only that The boy told several people that the family recieved the money that there was no molestation at all. Just because you pay someone does not mean guilt, especially in the entertainment industry.

IF MJ did/did not do what the kid said. Would you have let your kid around him unsupervised? To let this happen again? Or would you take the chance for a BIG payoff at your childs expence? Either way the guy did not keep his kid safe (thru ignorance, trust, or criminal intentions he is also a guilty party).

Think about this: if someone molested your child, how much money would it take to satisfy the pain of abuse that my child endured? If you're a loving parent who truly cared about your child's well-being, you would say "There would never be enough money to give back what was lost from my child." Face it, there is no price tag on that. I never once believed MJ was guilty, because MONEY can never replace what would have been lost. Only the suffering of the other person who harmed my child would be sufficient. No dollar signs necessary.
This is why I always knew that the whole thing was about money, period. MJ, on the advice of his lawyers, gave the Chandlers the money to make the situation go away, so he could get on with his life. His kindness and generosity to people unfortunately was his downfall, because there are so many leeches out there who were more than willing to take advantage of it. Later on, the kid recanted his claim, stating that the whole thing was a lie his father made up to exhort money from MJ. But you would rather believe the worst of what you hear, not even checking to see if there is any truth to it.
On the death of Evan Chandler, all I have to say is good riddance! Karma is a biatch!!
