Man Whose Son Accused Michael Jackson of Molestation Found Dead

Evan Chandler -- the father of
Jordan Chandler, who accused
Michael Jackson of molesting him -- was found dead early this month of a gunshot wound to the head, the
New York Post reports.
The 65-year-old former dentist was discovered in his Jersey City apartment with a .38-caliber revolver in his hand, officials say. The building's concierge found the body. No note has been found, but police officials believe it's an open-shut case.
"He [Chandler] was on his bed still holding the weapon with a single gunshot wound to the head," Jersey City police spokesman Stan Eason told reporters. "It's straightforward. Case closed. It's suicide."
Eason said Chandler was gravely ill and scheduled to see a hermatologist on the day he died. When he didn't make his appointment, the doctor called the concierge to check on him.
"There was medication found in the apartment consistent with a serious illness," Eason said.
In the 1990s, Jordan Chandler and his parents received $20 million settlement from Jackson over the sexual abuse claims, although the late King of Pop was never charged with the crime.
Jordan and his father became estranged and Jordan even received a restraining order against Evan in 2006, after he allegedly hit his son with a dumbbell.
According to a family friend, Evan Chandler was depressed in the final days of his life. "Over the years, [Evan] began to develop tremendous mood swings. He was always depressed," the friend said.
Chandler was once a prominent Beverly Hills dentist, but his business and personal life collapsed due to the strain of his son's claims against Jackson. According to reports, he has undergone several plastic surgeries in order to disguise himself from angry Jackson fans.

Oh, and if Jordan came forward to denounce the claims I am assuming he returned the money to Jackson, right? Yeah, right, I think not.

So, who exactly was the author of the cult book "Michael Jackson was My Lover"? It says Jordi Chandler.

I do not believe Michael did anything to children, except being quilty for loving them, and showing them what a great time that they should be having as a child!!...and if that is a sin, then I quess I'm quilty also!!

Bill age related depression can be exacerbated by an already pre-exisiting psychological condition like guilt. Good for him justice has been done. He has done society a favor by killing himself. He should have done it a long time ago.

Guilt is a MF!

Also, murdered? Seriously? When do we take responsability for our own actions? He was no more murdered than Elvis was. He was born a sweet, talented kid and went out like a cartoon character. His choosing.

Ok, Michelle.
If you ever have to have a procedure done, make sure that you take full responsibility if your anesthesiologist needs to make a phone call during your surgery.
he doesn't look 65 in the picture.

Children frequently don't remember child abuse incidents after a certain age, their mind blocks them from the pain. A child that remembers an incident from early childhood may remember it to age 10, but then forget it. Another child may block it within a year or two of the incident. Both will totally believe what they are saying. Children's minds are much more protective than adults.

Michael Jackson was NOT GUILTY of the molestation charges. Jordan Chandler admitted it was a lie AND Evan Chandler was heard on tape talking about the shakedown.
Michael Jackson had no intention of paying off the family, but was talked into it by Johnnie Cochran and other lawyers. Michael did not want to go through a OJ circus-like trial.
After discovering that the payoff made him look guilty in the eyes of some, he vowed NEVER to pay another family. Unfortunately, another family tried to take him to the cleaners against with FALSE allegations. However, this time he fought back and WON the case.
He was found NOT GUILTY on all counts. So, those of you that are still referring to Michael Jackson as a pedophile, have no respect for our judicial system or our democracy.
I feel sorry for Mr. Chandler, but he reaped what he sowed.

I believe the dad would be much more guilty over not protecting his son from abuse, than lying about it. We will never know what happened, but a grown man, Jackson, sleeping with children not his own, and not a baby, is very suspect.

since some on here feel MJ was such a horrible person maybe he came back from the dead and shot the dentist as well as molested his son?? seems every evil thing people dreamed up for money was the fault of Micheal Jackson?? its little wonder he felt better off taking drugs to sleep at night given all the leaches and creeps who were after his money all his life?? RIP MJ

There have been countless of countless famous people that have died from drugs, Michael started from his burn injury or hey even if he didnt, try and find a celeb from that time era that wasnt. There are also many people who have injuries and get addicted to the meds that doctors give them, it happpens to every day people calling Michael a crackhead is out of line. yes he could most defiantly afford treatment for it but who wants to go out and say tey have a problem with it especially if you were in the media as much as he was. I'm trying not to make excuses for him and he could have made different choices but that doesnt make him a bad person.
